Deep in the pine forest the DJ turns up the music and the fungi are jubilant! Who knows what you will see taking a quiet walk with a camera?
Just have to watch for other walkers and their dogs who wonder what the crazy guy is doing down so low. Have a good Friday, the weekend beckons!
The Oktoberfest crowd as seen from the ferris wheel.
6 million people visit the Oktoberfest!

I was in central London yesterday taking a few photos over in Docklands and decided to pop across to Buckingham Palace, maybe to see the flowers following The Queen's death. Events were taking place elsewhere (St James' Palace and The Royal Exchange in The City) so thought it may be quieter. I was wrong. This was the closest I could get comfortably. I would advise all, even those living in Greater London like me, to watch these historic events on TV.
Caught another gorgeous sunset last night, hope I am not boring you, I just can't resist that beautiful light. Had trouble coming up with a name so the location will have to do for now. Best wishes to all.
Late Auckland Mayor, Sir Dove-Meyer Robinson loved a good crowd.
Minolta Alpha 7 with Ilford Pan F Film. Scanned with dslr.
The Minolta Alpha 7 has an STF mode which shoots 7 shots on one frame changing the aperture and shutter speed for each to alter the look of the bokeh. I figured this could be interesting with moving subjects.
After squeezing my way down narrow alleyways, and through people coming and going from this "Instagram Photo" location, I worked my way over to this beautiful location to capture the Insta crowd in action.
Santorini, Greece. Village of Oia.
Special thanks to Sabastian of "Greece Explained" on YouTube, which made my wandering around on Santorini so much more enjoyable, with the limited time I had there.
Pentax.
With all the hoopla on social media about the Aurora last weekend, it stands to reason you'd have crowds of people coming out to have a gander for themselves. Here, you'd never know it, but there were probably 50 or 60 people behind me on this little beach. Not long after this capture, the clouds rolled in and the light show was over.
Amongst a crowd of young aspen trees stands a single pine tree. Hard to say who established roots here first, but I'm guessing the taller conifer tree. Once you sink roots as a tree, well there's no changing places. The pine tree will have to compete for water and sun light. But on the bright side, that pine gets to watch those aspen trees display their fall colors every year.
