No individual titles (it'll take too long). But an excellent day that included The Lion's Part, The Fabularium, The Berry Man, The Globe theatre, A Corn Queen, musicians, dancing, processions, Borough Market fun and games and a visit to Crossbones graveyard to pay our respects.

Trying out Impossible Project PX-100 Silver Shade UV+ and I blogged about it, of course.
(I made the mistake of closing the camera after this photo was "spat out" and still hanging out of the front, which caused the striations you see on it)
Southwark, South East London. The location of the long lost prostitutes cemetary. Containing the bodies of hundreds of women, stillborn children and paupers. Closed and subsequently lost in 1853 it was rediscovered in the 1990's during building work. Visitors and locals have left tributes and gifts for the "Outcast Dead" tied to the gates.

These are the skulls that are thought to have inspired the design on pirate flags.
There are currently many open grassy spaces in God's Acre in North Berwick Parish Kirkyard. The monuments that remain seem gathered in clusters and some of the gathered together stones offer each other protection from the elements and the ravages of time. The Gottesacker, the Field of God in German is the name now slightly changed to God's Acre to signify the precinct around spaces dedicated to religious use. In the field of God around North Berwick Parish Kirkyard there are some excellent grave markers and life commemorations. The memorial of Reverend John Blackadder gives several valuable historic insights. The memorial was, “Renewed by private inscription in 1821.” The memorial relates that Reverend Blackadder died in 1686, “on the Bass after five years imprisonment.” He continued to preach after being expelled from his parish and even after being made an outlaw.
He remains a martyr of Scottish Presbyterian Covenanter tradition whereby members bound themselves to maintain the Presbyterian doctrine and policy as the sole form of religion for Scotland. There are fine carvings of an Angel and an open book at the head of the memorial and of a Skull and Crossbones with Memento Mori written on a scroll at the foot of the memorial. The carvings at the foot of Reverend Blackadder’s grave have been protected by the presence of another grave stone. This other grave stone has served to keep the carving at the foot in better condition than at the exposed head end of the Blackadder memorial. Although the close proximity of the other grave stone limits viewing of the Skull and Crossbones with Memento Mori written on a scroll it has helped to keep them in readable condition. Rather unusually the femur terminals all seem to show signs of excessive, maybe even recent wearing away.

It's not about the sign. It's all about that fantastic golf club logo. How did they choose such a cool logo for a golf club in a seaside town that the average age is 146? Maybe they couldn't see the choices?
Roger arrived at the Junky Chicken rescue centre last week and is a very brave little chicken. He is a descendant of Captain James Chook and dreams of one day becoming a captain himself. At first sight he can sometimes seem a little scary but when you get to know him he is one of the sweetest chickens there is.
Roger has been made from an old top, donated to me by my sister after it was no longer wearable. He is black in colour with a white skull and crossbones pattern. His beak and comb are cut from Eco-spun felt which is made from 100% recycled bottles.
In relief. I know this is a terrible photo, but I'm just so proud of this.
It's one side of a cushion for a custom project which was commissioned in MARCH!
Just needs blocking, sewing and a zip adding.
These were all taken near Borough High Street. Plenty of quirky views, including some of the railings at Crossbones cemetery, where around 15,000 prostitutes and other poor people are believed to be buried. People remember these unknown dead by putting votives up on the railings: more recent loved ones are remembered too.
