Early dogs lived in caves with their humans and fashioned toys from stones and sticks found in their environment.
OK, Jasper isn't really a Cro-Magnon dog. But we found this rock cave-like thing and decided it would be a fitting story. Having not been born yesterday, we did not venture passed the entrance. We live in a place where there are rattlesnakes and other creepy crawly stuff. Who knows what dangers lurk in there. This cave is at the end of the Hieroglyphic Canyon.

Cro-Mags defined New York hardcore’s crossover era, fusing the raw speed of punk with the power of metal. At the center was Harley Flanagan—playing clubs by age 11, raised in the East Village punk scene, and living in squats before most kids hit high school. Their landmark album The Age of Quarrel captured that energy: street-born, brutally tight, and driven by a mix of survival instinct and spiritual fire. A soundtrack for chaos with purpose.
The history of the CRO-MAGS is integral to the history of Hardcore, it’s evolution from Punk and the development of alternative music genres such as thrash, thrash-metal, post-punk and grunge, to name a few.
Numerous iconic bands from Metallica to Green Day, and individuals such as Dave Grohl have credited CRO-MAGS with having a primal influence on their development.

We spent two days on Port-Cros, a small island in the south of France. The whole site is a natural reserve, with very quiet forests and beaches.
It was a great place to chill out, take a deep breath and rest for a while.
