I'm not a big fan of crocs, especially photographing them, but i decided to go really tight and use the lines of the jaw. Fairly happy with the result.

The Nile crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus) is an African crocodile and the second largest extant reptile in the world, after the saltwater crocodile. The Nile crocodile is quite widespread throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, occurring mostly in the central, eastern, and southern regions of the continent and lives in different types of aquatic environments such as lakes, rivers and marshlands.

Nile crocodiles have a dark bronze colouration above, with black spots on the back and a dirty purple on the belly. The flanks, which are yellowish-green in colour, have dark patches arranged in oblique stripes.

When we arrived at our lodge on the banks of the Awash River and Falls in Ethiopia there were many crocodiles like this one basking on islands and at the river edge. Heavy overnight rain turned the water brown by next morning and all the crocodiles were submerged.

"....never,never smile at a crocodile."

American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus). Photographed near Cahuita, Costa Rica.

A crocodile, in Belize. My family and I went on a boat ride to a lagoon, while we were there. The lagoon was amazing, because of stunning bioluminescence. I took this photo from our small boat, when our tour leader briefly shined a flashlight on it as we passed in the dark.

It happened fast when I saw this crocodile eating. When I checked my photos I saw this crocodile was eating another crocodile! Probably one which was already dead for some time, as it did not have any color anymore. In Samburu in Kenya.

Another shot of this rock, a bit later than the previous one, from another angle, with the "Titan lighthouse" on the "Île du Levant" on the left of the picture.
