I LOVE Calico Critters (Sylvanian) Figures. They are just the cutest things ever. I used to collect they when I was little, and recently started collecting them again. I plan on take more pictures of these sweeties, Gah! how cute, I love their little outfits!

Meet Critter. Not his name yet but what I have been calling him.
Critter was a stray cat that I found in not a very nice neighbourhood.
I went to leave and he jumped into my car, so I figured he wanted to come with me.
This cat was starving and skin and bones....I couldn't leave him where he was.

He has the nicest nature and would make a great dog ;-) and he poses for photos.....got to love that.

Hey all I told Santa that would ride along with him and use my bright red nose to help him see and I would also help him eat all those yummy cookies he gets because I love cookies.

Critter (aka Christopher) is available for adoption at the Orange County Animal Shelter in Chapel Hill. His owner died in Iraq and Critter has been in shelters for 8 months.

The other night I found this yellow 44-Tonner sans-trucks on a flatbed near the BNSF yard in Burlington. A couple days later, a crane lifted her onto her trucks, and another little critter magically appeared. I want to say it's a Whitcomb but I have literally no idea. At any rate, neat little things!

A retired "mill critter," which long worked at the Wisconsin Rapids paper mill, sits idle near Vesper, Wisconsin.
The critters were well received! There were squeals! I think the best indication of how much they liked them was that they were so busy playing with them that they totally forgot about opening the rest of the gifts for at least a half hour. I gave them to the 5 and 8-year-old grandsweeties, but their 12-year-old twin sisters had just as much fun playing with them. There may be more critters in our future, definitely more clothes since I had so much fun making these.
