It started with one - Max(middle). He was so adorable.
"Let's get another."
So we did - Katie (left).
"Just one more."
Sam.
They were not for the weak-minded.
They were a mob of tenacious, overbearing, incredibly loud, stubborn, four-legged terrorists, obstinate, robust, highly spirited riot of dogs, and we loved them - The Motley Crew...
Turkey Vultures seem to have a "world weary" expression, as if they have seen it all, and there's nothing that can surprise them.
They truly are nature's clean-up crew, and when there is a group circling overhead, it's a good sign there's been a kill.
I read some time ago that in Africa, poachers kill vultures, as they would provide clues to the game wardens that there had been an illegal kill, and that's how they were finding the poachers. The kill of the vultures obviously created a lot of problems, as they are such an important part of the ecosystem.

A new crew boards Amtrak SDP40F No. 631 on the head end of train 87 the Silver Meteor at Tampa Union Station on 23 April 1981. Curiously they will only take the run a short distance around the bay to its destination of St. Petersburg.
What a beautiful site this morning along the Blue Ridge Parkway (MP 95) as the second operational SpaceX Crew Dragon mission, Crew-2, with four astronauts headed for the International Space Station flew by. It was very cool to see. If you would like to read more about it, check out this link from my friends at SpaceFlight Insider:

An old photograph that I found as I set up a RAID. Each yacht club around Strangford Lough hosts an open race regatta. Then all the crews pile ashore to be fed sandwiches cake and beer at the host club. This was one well fed crew untying and heading home on a very misty day.
The fatal moment when torpedoes from the submarine USS Archerfish struck the supercarrier Shinano, a mere 10 days after she put to seas for the first time. Due to the unfortunate combination of serious hits, a very inexperienced crew, lack of damage control training, and the fact that few(if any) of her watertight doors had been fitted, the huge ship sank seven hours later. To this day she remains the largest aircraft carrier ever sunk in wartime.
