Thanks for viewing!
Working through a rock cut and past snow-covered evergreens, a westbound Union Pacific coal train led by three EMD SD9043MACs approaches Crescent on a very wet April 23, 1999.
I saw this male Northern Crescent at Cobb Lake (B.C.). The tips of its antennae are orange too! It is a butterfly that only lives in the Nearctic realm.
The Crescent Nebula (also known as NGC 6888, Caldwell 27, Sharpless 105) is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, about 5000 light-years away from Earth. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1792. It is formed by the fast stellar wind from the Wolf-Rayet star colliding with and energizing the slower moving wind ejected by the star when it became a red giant around 250,000 to 400,000 years ago. The result of the collision is a shell and two shock waves, one moving outward and one moving inward. The inward moving shock wave heats the stellar wind to X-ray-emitting temperatures. It is a rather faint object located about 2 degrees SW of Sadr.

BNSF 7393 leads H PVODEN around the curve at Crescent, Colorado. Monday mornings on the east side of the mountain have been consistent over the last month with M GJNY and H PVODEN both eastbound in the morning. Today was my only Monday off work to get trackside. After getting a heads up on this train, I made it to Crescent with 2 minutes to spare.
