Kouty nad Desnou

A small falls near Girdwood Alaska. Loved the rainforest that surrounded it. Pure enchantment.

Weeks half over! Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Medano Creek flows in late spring and early summer at the foot of the sand dunes in Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. Due to low snowpack, this year the flow is about 1/4 the average, but still draws thousands of visitors to play on the "beach."

I stopped by Virgin creek falls while on my trip to Portage. This location is always beautiful no matter how many times I go here.

Now for the color version. B/W version posted yesterday.

I didn't spend much time in the Yukon, primarily driving thru on my way to Alaska. Was impressed with the undisturbed immensity of pure nature, no signs of humanity. Liked that. Must say though that I didn't like large portions of the AlCan highway thru the Yukon. The roads were horrendous, worst I've experienced. But then they have to deal with permafrost and frost heaves that destroy sections of the road each winter. Can't expect them to be great when dealing with that continual issue.

Was also impressed with the Capital, Whitehorse. Very clean, modern and well laid out.

Hope to make that drive again some year.

The sun popped out for several seconds on what was a misty cloudy day there at the Falls of the Hills Creek. This is the 63 foot tall Lower Falls.

This is a little creek and small waterfall in Kelowna, BC with a lovely trail to hike along side it.

I couldn't go chasing waterfalls. So I stuck with the rivers and the streams that I'm use to ;)

With all the downed trees trying to dam things up ... thought a name change was in order.

Autumn comes to the Pacific Northwest along Mill Creek.

Long exposure of the King's creek, leading to the King's fall, which unfortunately I was not able to see because the lookout got damaged in the fire last year and it has not been repaired yet. Got there a bit late, so the sun was not shining on the creek anymore.

Shot with the OM1 handheld, using the electronic ND filter. The image stabilization is amazing, the background is super crisp, the foreground is a bit fuzzy because it was too close to me. I am super happy not having to carry a tripod.

Alternative focal length and exposure of same spot as previous post. Opted also for the monochrome tones.

Murphy Creeks on one of the main water sources that feeds Fall Creek Lake near Lowell Oregon. There are several camping areas along the creek. We were just out for a drive exploring roads, we followed Big Fall Creek road until it became nothing more than dirt. It took us up into the mountains, when we hit snow we turned around. This photo was taken looking back up the creek from under a bridge. The water is high and fast right now from the rains. Our velvety green moss covers everything.

Reprocessing some of my older RAW files in Capture One and ON 1 effects.

A good weekend to everyone. . . stay healthy.

Yesterday I was early on the beach when the first light shined over the dunes into a tidal creek..

We had frost last night, AFTER many flowers had already bloomed and the buds on many trees had already opened - many trees are in full flower. I hope the damage is minimal.

Fossil Creek has the most beautiful aqua colored water, incredible waterfalls, and it is quite a hike.

We drove to Camp Verde, and proceeded from there for 21 miles of unpaved, horribly bumpy roads. The ride was worth every minute to see this beautiful place.

The last time I visited this park, this bridge was closed due to damage from flooding. Nice to see it back! www.ohio.com/akron/news/national-park-hikers-get-popular-...
