The state Department of Health is improving processes to accelerate healthcare credentialing. Delays for prospective practitioners can compound care shortages, so DOH's efforts to maintain high standards while processing applications faster will help the state maintain a strong, qualified workforce.

“The goal is to make sure all Soldiers are aware of the different types of benefits available to them,” said Dr, Grizelda MacDonald, Ph. D, the Education Services Officer in the Nebraska National Guard Education Incentives Office.
This event allowed for Soldiers and Airmen to see what resources are offered to them and helps them understand the benefits they have available to them as a military member. They were able to find out how their military training and career can translate to credits in college or experience for future jobs.
Many attendees were excited to take part in the event and grateful for the opportunity to connect with different colleges and employers.
“It was an engaging event with information from a variety of speakers about the National Guard benefits, retirement information and transitional opportunities. The vendors were put together well and were very helpful in helping soldiers navigate transitions between Soldiers and civilian,” said Sgt. Beth Black, a chaplain’s assistant with the 126th Chemical Battalion.

The Recovery Coach Commission was established in August 2018, with Governor Baker’s signing into law of chapter 208, section 101, of the Acts of 2018.
