The Range Rover was introduced to the public back in 1970.

Combining the comfort of a Rover Saloon Car with a Land Rover’s tenacity, the early Mid Size SUV came with spacious accommodation for driver and passengers.

The powertrain with a modified Buick 215 V8 engine, Rover’s groundbreaking gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive system on long-travel coil springs made the Range Rover well capable on an off road.

Musée du Louvre exhibited an early model as an „exemplary work of industrial design“. Early models had very basic interiors, Rover’s Saloon Car features like power-steering, carpeted floors, air conditioning, cloth seats and wooden interior trim were fitted in later during production.

Like the real car, the model features a Technic ladder frame chassis on coil spring suspension and rigid axles.

The build is Creator Expert sized, length 39 studs, 14 width, height about 17 studs.

"We're heading straight for the LEGO City Beach!!!"

Alternate build (B-model) for the LEGO 10297 Boutique Hotel.

Instructions available at reb.li/m/137582

A bit late, since it's already 2023 and the next modular building is released by LEGO, but here is my alternate build for the Boutique Hotel. It contains a travel agency and - according to the name - an antique store over two stories. And on the second floor there is an apartment with apartment stuff ;)

I used 2703 of the 3037 parts of the original set, minifigs excluded.

I call this moc "Modular Bait Shop And Grocery". It is built only with parts from the set 21310 Old Fishing Store. Therefor I used 1995 of the original 2033 parts.

Building instructions available, follow rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-40048/

At the end of last year, I got the idea to design a modular house for all the collectors of the Lego Creator Expert Art Nouveau houses. After the Corner Garage was released, I feared that no house that fitted this older epoche would be released for a longer time. The bookshop finally taught me better, but of course I nevertheless finished my moc.

Since especially my mother is one of the collectors of these older modular houses and she owns the Old Fishing Store, I decided at that time to design my moc as a B model for this set.

Here's my second alternate build which is also my second modular building in general. And again I created some building instructions for it.

Available here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-53879/

This time I built it with the parts from the LEGO 10264 Corner Garage. Why did I chose this one? The original set has a good availability and... well, I don't like it very much. I would not place it in my modular city – if I had one... ;)

So, the original Corner Garage needed to be changed.

Besides the pub, the building contains some arcade machines on the ground level, an appartment with appartment-stuff on the first floor and a sewing room on the second floor.

Since I don't want to upload pics with ugly watermarks to flickr, but unfortunately had some IP infringement problems with my first alternate build, you have to follow the above link, if you're interested in further pictures. I'm really sorry for this and I ask for your understanding.

In 1970 the iconic Pantera debuted with a brand-new high-volume design concept, which combined the muscle power of an American V8 with signature Italian styling. The notion was to create a car featuring a steel unibody ‚monocoque’ that was powered by a suitable Ford V8 engine.

In March 1970, the Pantera made its North America debut, a few weeks after its Modena Premiere, at the New York Auto Show. Journalists noted the Pantera’s design made the Corvette’s look tame in comparison, and predicted that they had seen the future of sports cars.

The Pantera saw multiple variants over its twenty-three year production run.

Model size is about 37 studs in length, 16 width and 11 height.

My largest and most complex Modular MOC to date, this building has three stores: an ice cream parlor and a music shop on the ground floor, and a bookstore with a cafe above.

This is a modification of my alternate build of the LEGO 10278 Police Station - the corner building „The Daily Press“- I built in November 2021, since I recognised that I wasn't able to display the original corner building in the shelf in my living room properly.

This new non corner version is also built only with bricks from the LEGO 10278 Police Station. It's built a bit less tricky than the original building, but nevertheless I think I like it a bit better than the other one. Don't know exactly why – perhaps because I don't have to choose between the two facades but have them next to each other.

Of course there are also building instructions available reb.li/m/97319

The Daily Press - Modular Newspaper Print Shop.

Alternate build (b model) for the LEGO 10278 Police Station.

Building instructions available rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-93582

I used 2735 of the 2903 parts of the LEGO Police Station.

The ground floor of the main building contains a press room with an old newspaper printing press, in the first floor there is the editorial office and on the second floor lives the owner in a small apartment with roof terrace.

In the smaller neighboring building there is a flower shop on both floors (with room for growing and caring the plants upstairs).

Don't know why I never uploaded these edited versions of the pics of my alternate builds to flickr (only put a background and a pic of the box of the original set to it).

This one is for my alternate build for the LEGO 10278 Police Station.

A side-by-side comparison of the standard Lego set (#10266) versus my rebuilt version in classic space colours. You will note the new version includes a lot of mods to get the lander to look more like the real-world NASA Lunar Lander - I explain this in the showcase video for this model that you can watch here: youtu.be/r6NkjcGDEs4
