The old house of Vasily Kalashnikov (please do not confuse with the creator of the weapon - Mikhail Kalashnikov) is located in the historical part of Uglich. Today, the building of the 18th century houses three expositions - the Glass Museum, a teahouse with a Russian stove and samovars, and a designer's office that tells about his life and inventions. Kalashnikov designed bulk barges for transporting kerosene, designed blowers and superheaters - devices for a steam engine - and developed an innovative model of a steam engine, for which he was awarded a medal at the All-Russian Industrial Exhibition in Moscow in 1882.

It is not known exactly when the house in which Kalashnikov was born was built. The building was already listed in the General Plan of Uglich in 1784, which provided for new street roads. Many old estates remained inside the quarters, and the Kalashnikov house was on the outer line of the new square - in front of the Epiphany Monastery.
The front part of the old two-story house was built of stone, while the rest were cut from wood. The facade was decorated in the same way as it was customary to decorate wooden houses: the windows were decorated with platbands with small cornices - sandriks. Tiles were inserted into the corner ledges of the house, which was a very original architectural solution for the 18th century. Since then, the house has changed little: only a high wooden roof was rebuilt here, making it flatter, and a major overhaul with restoration was carried out.
Museum collection
Today, there are three exhibition halls in the house: the Glass Museum, Vasily Kalashnikov's office and an exposition that tells about the Russian culture of tea drinking. The Museum of Glass contains exhibits of the 18th – 20th centuries - antique mirrors, stained glass windows, lamps, porcelain and glassware: glasses and decanters, damask and glasses. Kalashnikov's office was restored the way it was during the life of the designer. Here you can see antique furniture and icons, family photographs and fragments of manuscripts. Guests are told about the tradition of tea drinking in a separate room with a Russian stove. Its exposition includes samovars, teapots and porcelain tea sets.

Girona, Temps de Flors is an exhibition of flowers that has been held in the city of Girona since 1954. Its creator was Maria Cobarsí and it was in that year that, together with some women from the Feminine Section of the Phalange, they set up the First exposure Since 1956, every month of May, this spring festival is celebrated that attracts people from all over the world.

Before we had to fence our backyard in order to adopt our dog, Emmy, I had a love/hate relationship with deer. The deer in our neighborhood viewed our backyard as a haven with the added benefit of gourmet dining.
It was lovely to look out my window and see one peacefully sleeping in my garden. However, I didn't like how they destroyed my garden - aargh! Anyway, the fence solved the whole issue, but at times I still miss seeing them.

I made a Demo object and an additional script that allows other users to create their own versions of the landscape elements for the "Auto Season 12 months" from Skifija and this will work with the Time Manager from Skifija.
Now you can make objects "12 months Auto Season" for personal use, gifts and sale!
You can use this script for whatever objects and actions you want, including sounds, animations, etc.

Sunsets are a remarkable feature of our Creator's artistry. Ever changing and ever beautiful, each moment is a unique canvas. And these moments are on constant display around the globe as the sphere of the Earth spins on it's axis in perpetual motion.
It is good to take the following advice, "Look up to heaven and see, Observe the clouds, which are high above you" (Job 35:5) for otherwise we would miss some of the beauty that has been installed for our pleasure and appreciation.
I could have easily missed this moment yesterday evening. I was taking a few "ordinary" shots of the sunset when the cloud pattern lit up with this display. Within a few minutes it had disappeared again and the sky was back to its relatively drab tones in the failing dusk. Most other people were going about their business and were oblivious to the show that we had just enjoyed.
Interestingly I arrived here to get some night shots of Fawley (oil refinery) across the water. I have seen Fawley at night from the New Forest and it can be quite a spectacle but the view from Cowes was disappointing. I had my D750 setup on a tripod ready to go but my ageing brain was not flexible enough to readjust the setup for this shot. Thankfully I had my D810 along side and took some hurried snaps with it. You can see my tripod in the bottom left of the image and Alison in her pink anorak just beyond. She was reading a book in the car and would have missed the sunset if I had not informed her.
