An diesem Tag war es an der Küste ziemlich stürmisch und die Möwen suchten in der Nähe des Strandes nach Nahrung.. ideal um ein paar ungewöhnlichere Möwenbilder zu machen..

perched before one of the historic cannons on the Battlefield at Gettysburg.

in his daytime roosting spot atop a hay bale. I drove by here a few hours later and yep, still there.

returning to the colony at sunset.

The sky was amazing the other evening and the owls were up from their daytime roosts and beginning to hunt for voles.

A lifer species, so this bird nerd is pretty happy about this one. :)

Coming out of the shadows right after the morning fog burned off.

sitting pretty along the jetty in some nice early morning light.

I've encountered this young bird a few times and really enjoy my time with her (him?) She has a personality all her own.

A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing this incredible species just a kilometre or so from my house. Had a great time watching the Harrier hunt. He would hover close to the ground and dive into the long grass. This is among the first few keepers taken with my 500mm f4 ... Such a great experience! :)

An Elk crashes through the field after dark to chase a younger bull out of his field. Light was low but the action was good so I decided to try panning with the bull for something different. These types of images seem to be love it or hate it and the interpretation is subjective but sometimes I like seeing the subject in motion, rather than frozen in it.

Had a great experience with these wild budgies a while ago. I’ve always wanted to photograph them nesting, or just sitting in a hollow in general. I was super stoked to see this little guy fly up into a hole in a tree branch. I jumped out of the car and manoeuvred to where I could see directly into the hole. Surprisingly the budgie popped its head out to investigate which made for a great photo! :)

cautiously making his way through the woods before sunrise.

I waited patiently for these birds to create this perfect natural composition. Their spacing along the wire demonstrates nature's own sense of visual rhythm and balance.

A handsome young elk crosses the top of the hill at dusk.

I caught this brief moment when sunlight transformed a common fly into a living jewel. The intentional use of shallow depth of field isolates the incredible iridescent details against a soft golden backdrop.

Focusing on the interplay of light through the leaves, I captured this snake in an intimate moment. The composition emphasizes its subtle beauty and graceful form within its natural environment.

They always settle in muddy areas with enough cover like tall grasses. I was lucky enough to spot her between bushes in a fine morning. As the subject is very shy, I decided not to miss this opportunity and waited patiently without making any sudden movements. I determined to capture a best possible frame as the habitat is surrounded with tall grasses. Finally got some decent clicks but I like this frame among others. Hope you like it.

White throated kingfisher waiting for prey near a water body. The highlight of her beak shining against the back light with dark background. I tried to capture the scene as it is. The photo comes out well as expected.

Photo taken in year 2022 post monsoon at my village. As it was post monsoon the farms were cultivated with pulses and millets. Especially some part of lands will be cultivated with “Great Millet”(Sorghum millet) to feed cattle especially cows. Birds like munias, house sparrows and yellow throated sparrows feed them in groups. Isolating an individual is a bit challenging for shooting them in wide frame. After multiple attempts I managed to capture a decent one.

Indian Robin during golden hour.

It’s always delightful to click during golden hour. I observe an Indian robin keep on perching in the stick repeatedly and make sounds like tuk tuk tuk. The repeated calls makes me draw attention towards her and i felt like she sought my attention purposefully.

Being observed the behaviour I positioned myself accordingly to get some rim light shots. That was fantastic experience spent time with this individual.

Hope you like it.
