Various projects we machined at Reid Signs in Seattle. Acrylic, Plexiglass, Lexan, Polycarbonate, Polystyrene. We can cut, machine, and build anything out of any of these cool materials right here in our facility. We don't need engineered drawings either...just bring us your napkin sketch and you'll have your part in a few days no prob!

This is the acrylic prototype before we went into 6061 aluminum.

We design and build these for Xbox and other Microsoft entities. They are produced entirely in-house and get shipped all over the world.

This project consisted of creating custom surfboards for the Red Robin Presiden't Club. We were given creative license to come up with something cool for the design. Red Robin and Piranha Productions are among our favorite clients for the freedom they give us with design and concept.

Piranha Productions called us and wanted to creeate a unique award for the Red Robin President's Club. We discussed a few different ideas and decided that surfboards would be the perfect recognition piece for their convention in Mexico. They gave us total license with the design...Make it cool, they said. These pictures take you from design to fabrication to shipping.

Another view of the border after it has dried. This piece is hanging on our wall and in most cases you can't even tell I applied anything over the top of the art. When the light hits it though, it gives the illusion that this is an original piece rather than a digital reproduction.

I have been wanting to take a picture of my 'creative space No.1' for quite sometime but it had been so messy. Finally got my act together and tidies it up over the weekend. Still not completely happy about the set up. The stand for the monitor is too high but I quite the extra space it gives me on the desk. I need to make some adjustment so I have a better posture as I think my poor old back just had it.

My wife has an Epiphone El Capitan acoustic bass. I got it for her 50th birthday. Then I had this idea that I would make a new truss rod cover for it out of raw aluminum plate. This is a deceptively time consuming process to make a polished, finished piece out of a raw piece of aluminum.

I know that this might be a once in a lifetime....it might have to go once little ones come into our life, but for now, I have my own room to make and sew and paint. =)

Progress shots of Greg Reid and Dane Storrusten as we were building this unique piece of multi-media art for Ruinart, the renowned French champagne house in the Champagne region of Reims. This piece will be exhibited at Art Basel in Miami Beach. After its run there, it travels to New York Museum of Arts and Design where it will go to auction. Proceeds go entirely to emerging artist programs
