What a joy to finally have my new Ipad Pro and the pencil to play with. The programs I am used to working with have all been updated with changes in format. So this is a new learning curve. Today I took a simple picture I had in my summer files of this bird after he just came out of the bird bath and dried himself on our deck. I tried sliders and layers to figure out how my new "toy" worked. This may not be my best creation for Slider Sunday but it was a fun practice run. I am excited about all the possibilities as I keep practicing. Working with the pencil is so smooth.
I always enjoy the sight of these first blooms springing up along the trail by our house... having a little fun with the edit here.... so Happy Sliders Sunday!
..
Wishing you all a happy day!

It is said that when you find a white feather, a loved one, who has died, will think of you. I like this thought very much, it has something of calmness and silence. However, you don't find a white feather that often and I was happy that it had a few wet dew pearls and lay so perfectly in the bright green leaves. Unfortunately, I didn't get the photo sharp and perfect because a cocker spaniel was sniffing my dirty knees. There was no way I wanted to delete the photo, so I gave photoshop a chance ;-)! That's what came out, the PS Twirl and a few other filters.
Thanks for looking, much appreciated!
It was fun to find these two trumpeter swans but the plain blue background of the water was a bit boring... so time to play a little with editing.

Even though they are shriveled, the berries add a little pop of colour in a winter scene.

There is a wonderful nature reserve on the Bruce Trail called the Glen...a canopy of trees, bog, wetland and large ponds. Dreams can happen in places like this! HSS

A split rail fence, made to look weathered at our local ski hill. I helped it along with an edit to add to the weathered look! Happy Fence Friday!
This is actually a cornfield with cornflowers. But I wanted an abstract lavender field. To create an abstract image, I used PS coarsening- and blurring filters. To add the right color, I used the negative- color inversion filter. The -colorful abstract- was complete. ;-)
I'm not a member of the Crazy Tuesday group, but it's such a great, creative topic, I couldn't resist ;-)
It's definitely worth checking out the group tomorrow!
