The successful songs "willow" and "cardigan" by Taylor Swift were initially written for the indie rock group The National, according to a recent NME story. Swift collaborated with the band's guitarist, Aaron Dessner, on her most recent album, "evermore," which includes both of the number-one singles.
Originally intended for The National, Dessner admitted in an interview that he wrote the piano parts for "cardigan" and "willow" with Swift in mind. However, Swift fell in love with the songs and chose to utilise them for her own album. Dessner called it "surreal," adding that he never envisioned working with Swift, much less having her record one of his songs.
"cardigan" and "willow" are Swift's eighth and ninth chart-topping singles, respectively, and both songs debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 list. The songs have received accolades for their ethereal and melancholic feel, and many admirers and detractors have speculated about the significance of the lyrics.
Fans of both Swift and the indie rock band The National have shown interest in the discovery that the songs were initially written for The National. Some people have even wondered what the songs might have sounded like if The National had recorded them instead.
Despite the songs' unexpected beginnings, "cardigan" and "willow" have grown to be two of Swift's most popular and successful songs.

Was hunting for a location to do some photo work, and came across this happy little jewel on someone's property. As Daryll, the property owner explained to me - the truck was being driven by his dad when he was a boy and just stopped dead in it's tracks. His Dad got out, kicked the truck and cussed at it, and there it stayed for the next 34 years where now trees have surrounded it and it has become a foxture of the landscape.

Questi giorni nel mio sketchbook...

... I let me go, trying not to worry about the result, to see what can come out.
... mi lascio andare, cercando di non preoccuparmi del risultato, per vedere che cosa ne può venir fuori.
A rough sketch, but imagine the havoc I'd wrec with the proper equipment to translate my ideas digitally.

I've been trying to come up with something different, and I'm not sure I like this, but it's a start. The texture comes from hand wax which I use to keep my skin moisturized so it doesn't crack during the dry winter months. When the warm wax cools, it hardens can be quickly shattered so it looks as if the skin is peeling off.
I added an inverted layer and a whole list of adjustment layers, desaturating and changing the hue of some of the wax so it had a radioactive glow. Additionally the slight transparency of the wax looks almost X-ray like, which I do enjoy.
Thoughts or suggestions welcomed.
