Devoted some time last night to messing around with this but couldn't get it to run with decent/usable speed on my Dell Inspiron 5000. Granted the thing has very little RAM and an x86 processor, but Ubuntu will run on *anything* it seems like. I'll try it again on my Macbook just to see if the content and apps are worth giving some copies to libraries to try out. Thanks to whoever in the CC universe sent it to me, it's a nifty idea
Here's an example of how Creative Commons is used; the Redmond city sign is one that I took a while back and put in Creative Commons. Anyone can use, so long as the photo is attributed to me. Worked out well, and no hassles.

The only processing done was to crop the photo. The resolution is poor because it was taken with a phone camera in low light. What they are will be left to our imaginations. But to add a tidbit for ufo conspiracy theorists it was taken from an airforce base in northern Norway.
