I died for Beauty – but was scarce
Adjusted in the Tomb
When One who died for Truth, was lain
In an adjoining Room –
He questioned softly “Why I failed”?
“For Beauty”, I replied –
“And I – for Truth – Themself are One –
We Bretheren, are”, He said –
And so, as Kinsmen, met a Night –
We talked between the Rooms –
Until the Moss had reached our lips –
And covered up – our names –

L'aggettivo "afflitta" in questo contesto non indica tristezza, ma piuttosto l'essere oppresso, sopraffatto da un sentimento forte come lo stupore, l'ammirazione o lo sbalordimento. ndi, "afflitta meraviglia" non è un'emozione negativa, ma un'esperienza travolgente di stupore che lascia la persona quasi senza fiato

Edited with a white matte frame.
Pink dahlias, and also purple dahlias, symbolise grace, kindness and beauty. These blooms make excellent flower gifts for Mother’s Day and for sisters and girlfriends you hold dear. Additionally, purple dahlias represent royalty, so are perfect for gifting to someone you hold in high esteem
