I bought this big selection of Wella Creative Shapers. These rollers are made for perming, because of the shape of the rods the resulting curls will look much more natural.

Fascinating short video on the relative size of stars:

Pink Dahlia taken at RHS Wisley Gardens 2017 in natural light with a creative edit.

This is a crazy compilation of 4 images taken down at the beach just North East of the Bonita Lighthouse. It was taken during a -1.1 ft. tide and full moon. I stacked each image in PS and then changed the transparency of each level so that each subsequent wave was added to the whole image. Everything else in the scene stayed the same... fortunately. This stacking allowed the different layers of the waves on the beach and added to the water over the rocks in the foreground and background. If you look closely in the sky you can see the spotted star trails that were captures. I did not feel like going through and eliminating them! I then went through and added various masks to change the level of brightness to the sand, waves, rocks, and the background lighthouse and sky. I also had the white balance way off, between this and the Moon EVERYTHING was BLUE or shades of blue. When importing each image I adjusted the white balance to 5000K to bring out the warmth of everything. I couldn't believe that all this color was still there but my eyes could NOT see this!

I was down here with fellow photog, Amigo and new photo friend Ian having a blast down here. It is WAY down the hill and was a 10 min+ hike down and even longer going up!!! We were really playing chicken... especially me with the waves coming up on the beach. Fortunately with all the light we could watch these waves and not have any sneak up on us! My last 2 shots had the waves come up and around my camera and tripod. Fortunately I only lost the shot because the sand liquified a bit and the whole thing shifted a bit during the exposure, but...the camera did NOT go over.....what was I thinking leaving it there as the wave came in???

I hope you like this "Image" it was allot of fun taking the pictures to create it and a fun challenge learning as I went along to create it!

Piazza di Spagna

In the Piazza at the base is the Early Baroque fountain called Fontana della Barcaccia ("Fountain of the Old Boat"), built in 1627-29 and often credited to Pietro Bernini, father of a more famous son, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who is recently said to have collaborated on the decoration. The elder Bernini had been the pope's architect for the Acqua Vergine, since 1623. According to an unlikely legend, Pope Urban VIII had the fountain installed after he had been impressed by a boat brought here by a flood of the Tiber river.

In the piazza, at the corner on the right as one begins to climb the steps, is the house where English poet John Keats lived and died in 1821; it is now a museum dedicated to his memory, full of memorabilia of the English Romantic generation. On the same right side stands the 15th century former cardinal Lorenzo Cybo de Mari's palace, now Ferrari di Valbona, a building altered in 1936 to designs by Marcello Piacentini, the main city planner during Fascism, with modern terraces perfectly in harmony with the surrounding baroque context.

At the top the Viale ramps up the Pincio which is the Pincian Hill, omitted, like the Janiculum, from the classic Seven hills of Rome. From the top of the steps the Villa Medici can be reached.

Flowers are lovely! Love is flower-like;

Friendship is a sheltering tree;

O the joys, that came down shower-like,

Of Friendship, Love, and Liberty,

Las flores son preciosas; el amor es como las flores;

la amistad es un árbol cobijante;

¡oh los júbilos, que caían como lloviznas,

de la amistad, el amor y la libertad!
