Download the couch surfing app! I met my new friend from Crete, Greece through it and we went on a very spontaneous adventure!

During my first week in Spain, I took this while walking the beach with my newest friend Alina. We met on CouchSurfing, and as we walked several kids began jumping and running around trying to catch bubbles that were being let loose from a woman using two plastic sticks and a rope tied together. Yet this particular boy was using his imagination within the photo.

Fell in some mud, ended up exploring University of Glasgow and this particular part called ' The Cloisters '. This place was straight out of a Harry Potter movie.

There are many parts of the beach near Alicante that have boats anchored, but during my stay I rarely saw any that were out along the horizon. I did not have the right lens to get a close up, but the minuscule size of this boat and the vast expanse of water shows how much space a Spanish sailor has to maneuver during the middle of the day.

My new friend that I made during my trip. She's from Germany. We hiked the Castle above the city of Alicante, but right beneath the old fortress was this oddly placed utility tunnel.
