Ceci est, selon moi "Ingénieur ex spécialiste d'un autre secteur des transports et de la fabrication métallique mais pas des ponts et chaussées" un indice fort peu trompeur que ces composantes " secondaires" du pont sont sollicitées ou dégradées au point de se déformer. Il serait, je crois, bien recommandé d'inspecter ce pont pour déterminer les déformations actuelles. Et d'y modéliser les impacts des efforts supplémentaires prévisibles de m^me que ceux de la dégradation par la corrosion.
Dans l' histoire de l'effondrement le premier celui de 1907 "les premiers signes furent les suivants": On Constate des "déflexions latérales dans certaines membrures en compression" et des difficultés à aligner les pièces pour aligner les joints rivés sur le chantier..
Et dans ma compréhension en résistance des matériaux dans une telle situation les premiers étrésillons de ces membrures en compression sont certainement les plus sollicités . S'il y a des déformations des étrésillons, la pièce est assez probablement elle m^me déformée.
Donc il serait d'abord suggéré de vérifier sa rectitude à l'aide d'instruments modernes comme eux de Creaform. Puis si c'est le cas il est important de vérifier si la géométrie du pont demeure toujours dans les limites des déformations acceptables "si c'est le cas". Ce rapport semble appuyer mes observations quant aux premiers étrésillons qui se déforment d'abord: .IMG_9101ws line2

Il s'agit là d'un indice marqué qui attire l'attention sur des déformations plastiques d'éléments secondaires. Il faut noter que ces déformations sont bien visibles près des encastrement rigides d'éléments secondaires au niveau de la passerelle et du tablier mais il y en aussi a plusieurs visibles en hauteur. J'en ai décelé à l'oeil ( il faut cependant un oeil bien exercé pour cela), En plus il y en a certaines, au droit des piliers( ou tout près) mais bien difficile à détecter sur des étrésillons de pièces principales.
Je recommande donc de vérifier et mesurer s'il y a des déformations (difficiles à mesurer pour l'instant) dans cette structure. Cela serait possible avec un appareil laser 3D comme celui de Creaform et à un coût raisonnable je crois."
