The monstera has been one of the most rewarding houseplants to watch grow. Update of the film shot I posted a few photos ago. It unfurled to this giant leaf with the most beautiful splits you ever did see. I've had it a year, its been repotted several times and I've divided it twice. It's taking over my spare bedroom. Anybody want one?LOL

So, when I bought this plant, the soil was really waterlogged. I get paranoid about fungus gnat infestations, due to a very bad experience (shudder). So, I pretty much got rid of all the dirt, cleaned and rinsed the entire plant and root system and then carefully repotted it, giving it some water with liquid fertilizer. So far, so good and no signs of shock from all my manhandling!

There is a wonderful view of the kidney dialysis clinic's blue sign outside the living room window, and the dumpsters for Dunkin Donuts (not visible here) are also quite lovely this time of day. ;-)

I've never had air knocked from my lungs by a plant before until this sweet girl. She's had my heart and my breath for a year now and she still gives me the feels every time I look at her.

I am really loving these new mica colors I'm testing (yes, there will be an article). The gold and the copper, especially, are incredibly brilliant and unique. I did one with the gold on day 68.

well, I lost 3 #houseplants in the #masterbathroom #shower/#bathtub, & 2 are struggling, not sure why, maybe the ants, or the black beetles, or something else. I need to get that plant app.

Otherwise, all the other 22 #plants (& 3 #airplants) are doing well & even thriving. My #prayerplant is #blooming, my 1 #inchplant is going gang busters.
