Despite being pretty much full of cancer from head to toe, my Dad can still pull out a good 'crazy face' on command. I got a chance to visit him last week and the weather up in the North Woods of Wisconsin was fantastic. We sat out in the sun 2 days in a row and marveled at the warmth and brilliant blue sky. He listened to WXPR (independent Public Radio) on his radio head phones and soaked up the Vitamin D.

LumaPro LP120 set at 1/16th @ 2:00 above model pointed down
Background is lit by 1 compact florescent bulb in a clip on shoplight. (Walmart 9.99)

"This story is mainly about how the bathroom is for customers only.
So, I was hanging out for a few hours with some friends, sitting at the corner of the bar, chatting with Frank.
Right before we were about to take off, this drug-frenzied kid tried to crawl his way into the bathroom. The bathroom is for customers only. I was in there washing my hands, and I heard some commotion. As I opened the door, I see this crazyface young dude and everyone is yelling at him. In an instant everyone started to move. Frank and a few of us dragged the guy out of there. He was crawling at the door like a cat in a bathtub. So I ripped his arms off the doorframe. He clawed me pretty good in the process. In his frenetic apotheosis he twisted and grabbed an empty bottle of booze, and ran out of the door. A few of us grabbed beer bottles in case he was dangerous and the drug-addled shitshow outside got suddenly quiet and started staring to see what was going on. After a second or two just looking in the bar, the kid smashed a window with the bottle from the outside, then took off sprinting down the street.
Then after a few seconds everything went back to normal, and I sat down, wiped the blood off the back of my hand, put the empty bottle in the recycling and finished my beer.
Frank didn't even seem to be upset about the cracked window.

Valerie and I have been silly all day today. We've had such a hectic week that we are slowly unwinding in the weirdest of ways. Valerie never really does anything inappropriate around me. I have trained her well! Just kidding, i love you boo!
This was the first time she had ever done anything like that around me. I love her in this picture but I hate myself. I look like a balloon about to blow up. It's okay though, I can let her have the spotlight for one day.

1. I am happy.
2. My dog is a ninja. She somehow escapes from our yard periodically. I wish I could show you what we've done to the fence, but that would just make us look like the white trash we are.
3. She escapes and goes over to our next door neighbor's and digs on their door. Yesterday she went out the door someone left open, snuck under the neighbor's fence, got in their kiddie pool they have for their dog, and dug on their back door. Today she escaped from the fence and went to their front door.
4. They brought her back the first few times she did it. Now they just wait for us to notice she's gone and come get her. Which I find hilarious.
5. My hair is naturally curly. But when I brush it, it isn't pretty curly. Just messy, frizzy curly. So I have taken to letting it dry without brushing it.
6. I feel like a hippie. Hahaha.
7. That reminds me. This Friday I am working the Phish concert. The other day my brother told me I would fit right in because of what I was wearing.
8. I don't do well with labels.
9. I like it that way.
10. I'm getting my nose pierced tomorrow.

Okay so here's the thing...
I'M SO STRESSED OUT!!
I'm currently signing up for classes, and school starts next Monday. LUCKILY I finally figured out which ones to take. But I'm still without my camera, and for some reason, I'm finding it incredibly challenging to keep busy since I came back to Charlotte so early. Hopefully once school starts back I will have a bit more of a healthy routine going for me.
Oh yea, on a totally different note; My New Years Resolution to do at least 100 sit ups every day is going so far so good. My belly is in terrible pain, but hopefully it will all pay off!
I'm going to an Alpaca farm tomorrow. YES TO LLAMAS! Hopefully I will be able to record a video, maybe even Grant will make an appearance?

yep, thats right. except for that lame little watermark , this is untouched. 8 second exposure and i didnt think of anything to write or draw, but by then the camera already started the count so i just drew the only thing i could think of in with my multicolored flashlight. SMILEY FACE!
doesnt look like 8 second exposure does it? <3 learned a new trick while i was shooting on the beach in mexico. like my dad says, sometimes the only way to learn all the stuff no one else knows or teaches is to just experiment. (its a really simple concept, im just surprised that it actually worked)

My good friends Steph & Chris have a crazy old lady living next to them. She makes this crazy wide eyed face everytime she pops "over". We've taken it to the next level. I'd put others Steph has made up but she'd kill me...
You can't even tell that I dyed my hair brown. FAIL.
Nicole is house sitting somewhere in North Seattle right now, and this is one of their cats. I originally had Nicole point a laser pointer at my forehead to try and make him swat at me, but he was too squirmy and it didn't work... Soo this photo came out instead.
I got another grade back.. Kinda. I mostly just got the results of my consumer behavior final exam back, and I got 26 points above average. Yay! We'll see how that translates to a class GPA. I'm just ready to get all my grades back and move on with my summer vacation!

I have a tendency to pull silly faces in the mirror. it'd be funny to get caught on candid camera... or maybe that should be humiliating rather than funny?
My mom retired last week! That’s right RETIRED! As in she no longer has to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to commute to work. She no longer has to listen to someone telling her what to do. She no longer has to deal with grouchy people. I think she set her alarm on the first day after she retired just so she could turn it off and go back to sleep with a HUGE smile!
We had a party at the house for the big event. As usual we set up the “Do It Yourself” shots. This time however we changed the back drop to a Chroma key blue. Once the finished images were completed, it appeared as though everyone was on a beach in Fiji!
Thanks for ALL of the hard work mom. We appreciate you and all that you gave us to ensure that we became the individuals that we are! We Love You!

I thought about going to London on the train today and taking my folding bike - but the weather forecast predicted rain so I didn't go … just as well :)
