Crazy Tuesday theme: A crazy macro/close up

For Crazy Tuesday's theme "low key".
Inspired by, and in memory of Jamie Leigh Meyer.
The turtle was purchased from a beach vendor in Punta Cana Dominican Republic.
Construction continues on Crazy Horse Memorial which was started in 1948. Crazy Horse was a Lakota warrior who was born a member of the Teton Sioux Tribe in about 1843. The memorial is located outside of Custer, South Dakota. It is being blasted and drilled from granite. When finished it is planned to be 641 feet long and 563 feet high. Three young bison bulls demonstrate how crazy activity during the rut can be. Here one bull mounts another while that bull is fighting with a rival.
We laughed out loud at this ridiculous display. I kept saying "no way".
Note how close we were to this action...182mm. Fortunately almost all the bison rut shots I made were taken from the rolling rental car blind. To have exited the car most of the time would have been foolish and dangerous. We saw one guy get out of his camper van and was barely out the door before a cow charged him. He quickly re-entered the van and hopefully learned a valuable lesson.
One more post in my bison rut series tomorrow, then I'll move on to some more serene wildlife shots.

Crazy for rays......it was almost 60 deg today, and the heat was wild and amazing, so I went topless for about a 1/2 hour....it felt sooooo good......there was a photographer out there with model doing a bikini shoot......yes we Canadians are a tough and crazy breed....lol

I made this in the age of around 12, 60 years ago, as a christmas present for my parents. It's now in use be me.
