We took an infant/child CPR/First Aid class...the CPR chest compression/breathing counts have REALLY changed from when I remember breathing into a dummy in grade school.
They said to play 2 songs to yourself in your head because they have the right "beat" for the chest compressions...Staying Alive...and Another One Bites the Dust. Rather ironic!
I had advanced cardiac life support class yesterday. So I took advantage to take some pics while I could. this is the infant CPR segment !!

The most common of these disturbances is ventricular fibrillation (V-Fib). Defibrillation involves delivery of an electric shock to the patient's chest. The shock travels through the chest to stop V-Fib so that the heart can recommence its normal rhythm. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a machine that analyzes a patient's heart rhythm. If the AED recognizes V-Fib, the AED will tell the provider to press a button that will deliver a shock to the patient. The AED will not allow a shock to be delivered unless it recognizes V-Fib.

E. Reed Smith, MD states, " the law requirement officer who is at no time in the future halting the killing can rapidly change over to ceasing the withering." He goes ahead to state that the extent of practice for the police would be especially the same as a present layman's learning: draining control, tourniquet utilize, pressure just CPR, community defibrillation, and keeping up body temperature.

It is in this manner essential that defibrillation is given inside the initial couple of minutes after a patient's crumple. Cardiopulmonary revival (CPR) can defer the harm to the heart after heart failure, taking into consideration a marginally longer time for compelling defibrillation. CPR alone, be that as it may, can't reestablish the heart's ordinary electrical capacity. It is basic to both do mouth to mouth and defibrillate the heart inside the initial couple of minutes after a heart failure to give the patient the most obvious opportunity with regards to survival.
