CP 7022 leads train 401 as it approaches Keith on the western edge of Calgary.
Nice to get the Navy Veterans unit leading over the "twin bridges".
CP 401 power: CP 7022 (EMD SD70ACU) - CP 8060 (GE AC4400CWM)
We're on CP's Galt Subdivision between Crumlin (now in east London) and Nissouri to witness the passing of an eastbound freight hauled by FA-2 4093 and RS-10 8475.

CP train, grain empties, near Maple Springs. Canadian Pacific pays tribute to the more than 33,000 CP employees who served in the last century's two world wars, and to those who continue to serve today with five specially painted locomotives. The 7020 represents the Army veterans
Many things have changed since this photo was taken. Firstly, this branch to Aveiro harbour is now electrified, so there's no need for diesel traction here. Secondly, CP no longer makes freight trains, since the freight division was bought by MSC / Medway. And, finally, these cement trains that were previously regular in this branch, are not made as often or are not made at all. Here we see the diesel locomotive 1973 with a cement train to Aveiro harbour.
Mit einem IR aus Valenca nach Porto - Campanha ist die CP-Lok 2602 bei Vila Praia de Âncora an der Atlantikküste unterwegs.
CP train 100 passes the Searchlight Signals at Essa Siding on the Mactier Sub, after meeting 113 at Baxter they will have a straight shot to Vaughan and eventually Toronto.
The Canadian National has a spectacular bridge over the Fraser River at Cisco, British Columbia, but Canadian Pacific’s crossing there is pretty awesome too. An eastbound CP grain train immediately exits a tunnel and crosses the Fraser on this elegant truss bridge on September 28, 2001.
Steam locomotive E214 with the Vouga narrow gauge historical train from Aveiro to Macinhata do Vouga.
At literal last light CP 5908W takes the hill at Strangmuir with a mostly empty CWR. With a few guys here shooting these old workhorses taking the killing grade at Strangmuir, CP 5908 makes a bit of a smoke show to add to the shot. February 9, 2021
Electric locomotive 2607 transporting two Schindler coaches and three Arco coaches to be part of an exhibition at Lisbon (Transport Research Arena).
CP 3024 leading for the 0630 Yard Job as they shove their lift from Suncor across the Jackknife Bridge in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
CP 8102 on one of its first trips since rebuilding heads north on BNSF's Hinckley Sub near Superior with train 493.
In the 80's and early 90's mainline power on CP in the west was the ubiquitous SD40. CP purchased 486 of the model surpassed only by BN and UP. Here is a trio leading a westbound container train through an S curve near Yale, BC in August 1998. This was on a week long trip where the objective was to get around Lillooet on the BCR. But the weather gods wouldn't allow that and we had to make do with CN and CP in the Fraser and Thompson valleys. Not too difficult to be stuck in one of my favorite class 1 areas to railfan.
CP 134 heads East at Kennedy on it's way to Toronto Yard with the city skyline looming in the background.
Due to the lack of rolling stock, CP has refurbished and put into circulation several Swiss built Schindler coaches, especially on the Douro line. Here we see the diesel locomotive 1424 with two of these coaches doing an InterRegional train from Pocinho to Oporto.
Nowadays, the local trains on the Douro line are made with the "camello" railcars, rented from Renfe. These units will be replaced in 2023 when the new "Flirt" railcars purchased by CP from Stadler begin to arrive. In the picture we see a 592.2 series railcar with a local train from Marco de Canaveses to Régua, meandering the Douro river, near Aregos.
Also known as CP Christie. An eastbound CWR train rolls through Plymouth with a nice set of power. If only 9010 had PTC...
Electric locomotive 2601 with the first batch of Arco coaches (9 out of 51) bought by CP from Renfe.
