“And he knew, also, what the old man was thinking as his tears flowed, and he, Rieux, thought it too: that a loveless world is a dead world, and always there comes an hour when one is weary of prisons, of one's work, and of devotion to duty, and all one craves for is a loved face, the warmth and wonder of a loving heart.”
― Albert Camus, The Plague

At the antigen test centre Messe Wien in the 2nd district
This free testing takes place in three test centres in Vienna from 4 to 13 December. They have the capacity to test up to 150,000 people a day. But on the first day there were only 24,000 participants, and the following days this number was even lower.
Perhaps many people are deterred by the word Massentests (mass testing) and fear they might be infected at such a centre. This testing is so well organized however that there's absolutely no risk of being infected there.

If we don't assert our truth,
it may again be relegated to fantasy.
But the truth won't go away.
It will keep surfacing until it is recognized.
Truth will outlast any campaigns mounted against it,
no matter how mighty, clever, or long.
It is invincible.

Millions of the population are pressing our politicians to let us get ‘Back to Normal' as soon as possible. I feel obliged to show them just how ‘wonderful’?? 'Normal' again would be!
Oh, and by the way......How soon can I go back to the Costa Brava and sun bath again?...........God Help Us !!

The world has gone mad.. people not able to get basic items cause others choose to hoard.. this includes medication. Today I learned my daughters life saving medication is on back order and there is no guarantee when the next shipment will be.. yes shit got real for me and no amount of toilet paper will fix it.

COVID-19 & UKRAINE-22 are Black Swans*.
No wonder that human society is so unstable world-wide right now.
We have experienced two Black Swans in three years.
* From:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_swan_theory
"Taleb's "black swan theory" refers...to unexpected events
of large magnitude and consequence and their dominant role in history.
Such events, considered extreme outliers, collectively play
vastly larger roles than regular occurrences."
Here is my suggested corollary to Black Swan Theory.
It is from the Robert Burns poem, "To a Mouse" -
"But Mouse, you are not alone,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best-laid schemes of mice and men
Go oft awry,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
For promised joy!"
