Bari, countdown per la riapertura del Teatro Petruzzelli (...naturalmente NON rispettato).

Ora è diventato un... countup.

Halloween.

One hour to trick-or-treating.

The castle is assembled and ready to lift into position. Lifting it up is actually easy. The harder part is making it stay up.

Water level gauge....

On Monday (the day after the closing ceremonies) I noticed that the countdown clock, which had turned into a countup clock, was now a not-counting-anything clock.

After the countdown reached zero, the clock started counting back up. Since my camera flubbed the 00:00 shot, I shot the other 00:37 as a consolation prize.

It's a two horse race, so Barry needs to be sure he's counting each and every chip before a winner is decided.

This clock counts up since the last performance of the street musicians (it seems).

They didn't stop the countdown clock after they scrubbed the launch, so it just kept counting down... and then at 15:47, when it should have launched, it started counting up, while we wandered aimlessly, waiting for news.

Part of an ad sequence I shot as a countdown or countup.

The photo I sent out in an email to all of Emma today (not at this size, though).

147/365. Happy birthday, Boomer! To celebrate, Hoxie settled down on the halfway opened presents and declared it his new kitty bed. Such a pal! It was a pretty nice Friday, all told. It rained (just the teensiest, tiniest bit) in the morning, but more than that it was gray and looked perfectly Novembery. It was pretty mellow at work. We had long Slay The Spire naps and eschewed mileage. We opened our Thanksgiving Countup HHF fiber Advent boxes, and the last installment of our fall fiber HHF club. We watched Midsomer and enjoyed Francesco Rinaldi pasta. It was ice cream cake time! And we needlepointed on the little autumn owl and Scam Likely's trick-or-treat bucket, both of which feel they will take forever.

I've stumbled across the charity countup in the west arena bar after

tonight's concert. My "help" wasn't required, so I took this photo

instead.

traditional bender countup on live set

Black Kids haven't been around for very long so they only have two singles.

One of them is "I'm Not Going To Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You." There's a countup in the song and this was captured during it.

I think a lot of people left after the single but I stayed for the last song.

All reports were that Black Kids did a mediocre set. It wasn't great but I liked it enough.

Julian 365 Project.

This was supposed to be just a throw-away shot tonight. I have been working hard on cleaning out some stuff that's been stored in the house for 8 years or so and it's taken a lot out of me. I was not up to the hour+ drive to the 283 picture I originally had in mind.

So I thought I'd just take a quick shot and be done with it. Oh no. I ended up needing to bring in more lighting and actually could not get this shot until I used the little diffusing umbrella that Buzz just got for his photography. Sheesh!

For a throw-away shot, it sure took me quite a while and a lot of shooting to get there.

And this is what it is - $2.83 in good ol' American currency.

Was it worth the trouble? Yes. It got me a picture today and I haven't broken the Julian countdown (countup?) in the last 283 days!

Day $2.83.

Once the top blooms of the fireweed open, summer is on its way out. We have about 4 to 6 weeks left. Taken July 5, 2009 at Prince George, BC.
