El motivo de mi ausencia en los últimos tiempos tiene nombre... MANUEL.... ¡¡Bienvenido!!
The cause of my ausence of the last days has a name: MANUEL.... Wellcome!!
Thank you everyone for joining us on this countup/down. We wanted to end with a cheer and thankyou to the manymanyMANY people around the world who were kind enough to share their talent and creativity in making the Octonauts world real and full of awesome. (Chorion, BrownBag, writer posse, sound/voice cast, crew in India & Korea) This has been quite the multinational/cultural collaboration. Hope you all enjoy the show! ^__^ Octonauts GO!
Countup Day 07: Tunip the Vegimal! Tunip and the many vegimals onboard the Octopod (we're not really sure how many there are.) help out wherever they can. They're often found in the kitchen baking up delicious kelp treats, or tending the garden pod. No one knows where the vegimals came from, and only Shellington sorta... kinda... maybe... understands their Vegimalese.
Countup Day 06: Dashi Dog. Dashi is the photographer of the crew, she helps record and document all the amazing creatures they encounter. She's also brilliant with the octopod computer system, being able to create programs to watch incoming storms or detect lost Gups. (BUT WAIT! Who's Dashi? Dashi is Sauci's TV name, yes, all the superstars have them.) While Sauci came from "sausage dog" Dashi comes from "Daschund".
Countup day 05: Tweak Bunny! It's no easy task being the engineer and mechanic for the Octonauts. She takes care of all five Gups (A-E) and keeps the Octopod in ship-shape condition. She can also whip up gadgets like Whale Finders and Turtle Trackers.
My daughter Dejah was keeping track of how many days it would be until she was 18. She was using pieces of paper taped to the wall, and hash marks. So, for Christmas, I thought I'd make a count-down timer for her that was digital. While making the prototype, I thought "Why just one date?", so I made it handle a bunch of dates. I also made it capable of displaying different time units - so you can see seconds, hours, days, weeks, months and years until or since an event.
I 'm planning to make the project into something more complete - and perhaps, embed the parts into a mirror frame - but for now, prototype #2 is working, so I thought I'd document that. Prototype #1 was on an arduino, and used two breadboards and a lot more jumpers. I think I'm nearly ready to migrate prototype #2's components into their final form.
The big parts of the project are: a standard 16x2 LCD panel, an amtel atmega328, a ChronoDot, a Rotary Encoder, and an NCP 1400-5v Step up breakout.

At the 'San Fransisco' end of 'Highway '49' in Disney's California Adventure an unprecidented change occured. The restrooms, defibrilator, automatic teller machine and telephones, (search 714-535-9589), jumped across the street, from the West to the East, which normally is quite impossible, but this IS Disney, and running back and forth between those locations is PUSH, the Talking Trashcan inviting conspicuous consumerism - "Waste Please!"
Push, the talking trash can,

and frolicked with the pushing kids
in a land called DCA!
Little Johnny Knockers
hurt him, when they play
and kicked him in his "Waste Please" sign
and threw in a dinner tray.

Here's the new Brewtus with two simple accessories added: cabinet door handles as cup rails and a timer, both courtesy of Ikea.
The timer works particularily well as a shot timer, as it has a strong magnet that keeps it parked securely enough right on top of the E-61 grouphead. A nice feature is that it works as both a countup or a countdown timer, the latter providing an alarm when it reaches 0. It also recalls the last countdown time used at the moment you silence the alarm, ready to go again for timing the next shot.
Though I have it set to 25 seconds, I stop my pulls at around 10-17 seconds (after first drop) for my usual ristrettos, for a total draw of roughly 0.4-0.8 ounces.

This is the memorial for Rafik Hariri. The numbers you see on the side is the countdown (or countup) from the day he was killed. I think this was one of my first days there. I took another picture a day or two before I left. Quran plays as you walk in and towards the back are some guards and ministers that were killed in the same explosion.
I've done a countup of the inventory, and so far not counting the bricks in this picture I have around 620 bricks and pieces.
I'd like to say a big thank you to those who helped me identify their uses, hopefully I can build great things in the future.
I put my Comic Day Minimate in the centre to show what is left to count. I did estimate that the total would be above 500 from the start, and with this pile left to sort and count i'm lookin good on that :-D
