High-tension power lines traverse towering pylons near McKinney, Texas.

Lower Silesia in South-Western Poland is a region with rich history and it's full of beautiful landscapes and architecture to go with it.Just like the church towers and old brick chimneys scattered around on the picture. Additionally, the local authorities make sure that the railway lines closed throughout the years become reopened and serve passengers once again.

One of the lines which everyone has been waiting for used to connect Jelenia Góra with Karpacz. The preparation works have been done with the use of a 6-axle SM31 locomotive - SM31-009 was the first of its kind to visit here. The reason for the deployment of this engine was simple - the line has the steepest gradient present in Poland and no 4-axle engine would suffice.

Coincidentally, yesterday was the anniversary of me taking the picture. The anniversary of the actual return of passenger traffic will come in a few more months.

I have so much to be grateful for this year in SL. I have met some wonderful friends here, who have touched my life and my heart. I have Brave, my true love, in RL and SL, who shares this experience with me and watches over me. And I have a wonderful Island to live on where my closest live and are there for me each step of the way. I have had experiences I will never forget. Here is to next year and all that is in store.

Since I need some winter images for a proper photo calendar i looked for something worth capturing during those days when we had at least a little bit of snow.

Actually the amount of snow we had wasn’t even enough to cover the grass on this hill, so I cloned out hundreds of grass blades, which was great fun.

Not.

Made it count on the last shot for the year - Northern Plains Railroad has two units hauling one boxcar passing through Alvarado, Minnesota. NPR 5513 retains its CN nose herald, so if you ignore the subtle NPR evidence on the side, you can imagine CN SD60Fs frolicking in the snow. The train has just crossed the Snake River and see the 349 milepost sign - that's 349 track miles from Shoreham Yard in Minneapolis. This arm of the Soo Line served as a grain feeder for the mills in Minneapolis. Countless bushels of grain have passed over the rails here in the Red River Valley heading to Thief River Falls and further on to Minneapolis. They still do just maybe not terminate there.

You can count on me like one, two, three

I'll be there

And I know when I need it, I can count on you like four, three, two

And you'll be there

QUIZ: In the picture

1 - name different species of Egrets & Heron?

2 - name the bird that's odd one out?

Thanks.

I got to work today, thinking.... ok ...8 hours of work until my next adventure begins. Then I decided that I should probably leave an hour early. Then the shooting instructor told me... "No. You need to leave two hours early so that you won't be driving in the dark." It sounded like a direct order. Well.... OK!! That works for me! 3 hours.... and counting....
