My son's quilt. Made from Denyse Schmidt pattern. This was my first appempt at quilting. I used a heavy drill fabric which was not the easiest to work with but I like how it turned out. Best of all he likes it - now that he is two.
Made with ORBC quilt-a-long. A boy's version of the heart one I made a month ago.

I just loved Aneela Hoey Pickledish Quilt and decided to make 4 blocks using her pattern for this baby quilt. It was a fun pattern to use and now I'm tempted to make a larger one.

Tomorrow we are having a baby shower for my daughter, Danielle. She now has under 4 weeks until little Ella is born and this is the cot quilt I have made as a present for her. I love applique and when we travel, I always take prepared squares to blanket stitch and then I can make them into a quilt at my leisure. The top photo is a composite of the squares that I did for the quilt before sewing it together and it is backed with the purple that is used in the edging.
Danielle is slowly recovering from her rib injury, but sometimes it seems to be two steps forward and one back. I just hope she is recovered enough for when the baby is born.

New project for the April 2014 issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine. Still a wip - just finished piecing the top, must add sashing, then to quilt ....
Quilt top for the Kaleidoscope quiltalong, destined for my friend's new baby boy. The burning question is borders or not? If I do, it will be a 2.5" white border. I had intended to but now I'm not sure. Opinions please?
A cot quilt I made from the brown Owls in Trees and the Koala Softie fabric.
I sold it at the Finders Keepers market and hope it's keeping some little fella very comfortable.

Modern Log cabin using 2.5" scrap squares, a variety of yellow fabrics. Other scraps used for logs.
Measures 35" x 40"
Changed the name of my quilt at my husband's suggestion. Named after the song in the great show 'Five guys named Mo' that we saw last year at the Edinburgh Fringe.

I've been busy combining my love of vintage artwork with my other great love of sewing - and creating these nursery cot quilts. Fun to make - and great gifts too. A selection will be available at DevonBear Designs.
It went really crinkly when I washed it.
