I love the October Fest Parade!
On the first Sunday of the Oktoberfest, a traditional cosutme parade marches through the streets of Munich, the Trachtenumzug. It presents a huge variety of traditional Bavarian dress, as well as traditional clothing worn by the different trades, such as carpenters, chimney sweeps, butchers and many more. Community clubs for hunting, fishing and other pastimes are also represented.There are also dozens of marching bands in their stunning uniforms. To this, add the Munich breweries with their horse drawn beer wagons.
Went to the "Lange Nacht der Tracht" ("long night of traditional cosutmes" ;-)) yesterday. Was great fun .... aaand ... Dirndl time ;-)

I only spent a few hours at FanExpo this year but I managed to shoot a roll of 120, and half a roll of 35. I managed to find a whole lot of natural light and I'm happy with the results!
Here are Joshua and Clara, his date to the Sweethearts dance which took place on Saturday. This was a dance involving cosutmes and they are dressed as Anakin Skywalker and Princess Padme from the Star Wars movies. At least that was their intention. Clara made her costume. Joshua borrowed his.

2016 was a big year for us. We headlined a hugely popular Japanese festival in
Mississauga that will now be a yearly event. We founded a second Canadian
yosakoi team. Finally, we were invited to Kochi Japan to become official
yosakoi ambassadors!

First Nations children in costume dancing at Pow Wow in North Vancouver, BC. We try to attend every year; the costumes are great, the people very friendly (some are family) and it is always a great place to visit and lots of nice stalls to buy stuff.

Same Tinker Bell image as before but with a B&W layer (high blue contrast) selectively masked out and ran the whole image through Topaz Adjust's "Black Rose" filter. This seemed like an appropriate name to use and gave a great after effect.
