Taken for this weeks Smile on Saturday theme: Flat lay

Blueberry muffins in the making...

My sweet little old neighbour brought me over two dozen fresh eggs this morning. He shares his fresh eggs with us all the time. And this past week I bought a 2 lb container of blueberries at Costco which I have been struggling to get through so I figured it is time to do something with them and since the weather has cooled down for a change I don't mind turning on the oven. :)

Thanks to all for your visit! Happy Smile on Saturday! :)

I can understand why he might not want to cover up a pretty face like that with a mask.

At one point he had 3 worms and was pulling up a 4th when another Robin, let's name him "Robbing" for clarity, swooped down trying to grab this one's stash of worms. For every hard working bird, there's going to be another one waiting in the wings to shortcut the ordeal of labor.

A few weeks ago I purchased a 2 terabyte and 8 terabyte drive from Costco. The 8T for use as a scratch disc for my smoke shots and the 2T to master all my finals for Xmas.

I have always run redundant back ups. A carry over from when my audio work went from magnetic tape, a razor blade and edit block to digital files , computer and hard drive. Except this time, I used the 2T drive for 2 weeks without a backup amassing shots to print and, the drive died. My fault from ignorance and being cheap.

The last few weeks have been spent re-finalizing and organizing the shots for family and friends, but continually get distracted by images I passed over due to my short attention.

I relearned a lesson and get to review some shots I normally wouldn't have given a second glance.

I took this photo in Arizona – and was not familiar with this specific bird variety. When I asked, I was told it was a “Costas” hummingbird. For some reason I heard “Costco.” So, I’m bragging about this cool Costco Hummingbird I spotted, and everyone is just smiling at me. One said, “Wait until you spot the famous Wall Martin!” And after a few more laughs they explained my error. Costas – Costco, regardless it’s a cool bird.

(For any of you not familiar with Costco, it’s a huge discount box store famous for selling in bulk, $1.50 hot dogs, and clothes and products manufactured by Kirkland.)

Late in the season to have a family but the couple moved into my custom built log birdhouse last month and now have 3 new tweeters. Mom brings tiny bite sized bugs, Dad brings oversized quick food packages that he's loaded into the van from Costco. It takes 3-4 attempts for the little ones to swallow.

seen from the parking lot of Costco in Richmond, you can have as many as you can cram into your camera screen and they are free!

Shopping trip to Costco after work, Halloween stuff coming out already, it’ll be Christmas gear in a few weeks.

BNSF's 1st Watson, Y-WAT1011-12A, creeps down the Harbor Sub in Redondo Beach. On the left is LA Metro's Green Line (since renamed the K Line) which ends at a stub here. The 1st Watson will pause here behind the Redondo Beach Costco, perhaps for a chicken bake and/or a double chunk chocolate cookie.

Modern American scene.

Addicted we are. Maybe doomed as well.

A trip to Costco on a cold Friday night.

Wine as far as the eye can see. As seen in Explore.

The local Costco has many resident Brewer's Blackbirds.

We get a weekly delivery from Costco, and my wife always loads up on this medley of tomatoes. This pic is just after she rinsed them. If you get in the way when she's washing fruit or produce, or even near her, you will be in very big trouble. I always leave the area.

Costco does have everything ...

Even sunsets

I love shopping at our Costco in the early evenings

It's relaxing....

It allows us to unwind as we wander through the store

The parking lot has some of the best sunsets...

What you can't see in this shot is the construction of the new In n Out Burger... or the Freeway traffic on a Friday evening

Love it

Explore #356 before it got dropped from the 500

This is my 200th to make Explore

Today after work A and I headed to Costco for some shopping. She was making all these crazy phases and insisted I take pictures. Of course i agreed. Here I had pushed her way out in front of me and she made this scream face.

My wife is super-focused on washing fruit and vegetables when they come in the door. This is part of today's delivery from Costco. Other than not having a flippy screen, I still find the Fuji X100F a lot of fun. #classicchrome

They seem to use a lot of Carnation Evaporated Milk in Newfoundland.

From humble beginnings to a global retail powerhouse! Costco opened its first warehouse in Seattle in 1983, built on the idea of providing high-quality products at the lowest possible prices. Over the years, it has revolutionized bulk shopping, offering everything from groceries to electronics while maintaining its commitment to value and customer satisfaction. And of course, no Costco visit is complete without the legendary $1.50 hot dog and soda combo—a tradition that has remained unchanged for decades!

I am a very lucky man. Costco just delivered to the house. This weekly event is a reminder of how lucky my family is. We certainly are a well-fed group. #classicnegative

Fresno, Ca.

Yes, I know some might consider this one inappropriate, but, dammit! why would someone go out in public in such attire?

One last post from the tulips shoot...it is barely discernable (mostly how I wanted it) but this is with the Godox VSA-36K and the little heart disc. The fill light cone is a little too harsh but...

When I visit the Costco in Abbotsford I am assured of seeing many Brewer's Blackbirds. Perhaps the population is getting too large as the last few months I have been seeing them in other parts of Abbotsford and now in the Columbia Valley.
