The working parts of the Hellebore flower!
Our new(ish) car is a Corolla - a hybrid from Toyota. The significance of the name never occurred to me before!
Greetings from Corolla, North Carolina. This is the Currituck lighthouse. It is on Currituck Sound on the western side of the Outer Banks. The Atlantic Ocean is on the eastern side. This is the last brick and mortar lighthouse built in NC. It was completed in 1875. It is 162 feet (49 meters) high.
We are spending this week here on the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving, along with 18 other family members. I’ll still be checking in on Flickr periodically. Have a great week, my friends.

"You came upon me wave on wave, You're the reason I'm still here. Am I the one you were sent to save, When you came upon me wave on wave."

Corolla became a popular place in the 1920's for duck and waterfowl hunting. The town's name is derived from the Native American word "Carotank" which means land of the wild geese.
The Currituck Beach Lighthouse in the distance rises 162 feet over cedar and pine trees.

Fascinating find in Essex, I saw it several times. DVLA says nothing on it since 2005 and even then I would guess it was on a SORN. As Lady Wulfrun has noticed, it was untaxed and I can't imagine the powers-that-be tolerating that for long if it was parked on the road, so I fear this has now been scrapped.
Corollas with this early stye of grille must be mega-rare here in the OK. I have driven a slightly later example which belonged to a friend.
I wanted to make a car with more realistic proportions. Scaled down the wheels so they are about 1/3 of a minifig, like my car compared to me.
The car fit 2 figs sitting next to each other.
Hope you enjoy ;)
Seen in 1999 down in Worthing or somewhere nearby on the south coast (on a rather heavily cambered road!). A few accessory bits fitted plus 14" alloys off a Celica XT. I like these Corolla Liftbacks, but there's no trace on DVLA so it's presumably now scrapped.
A very cold and rainy Sunday in Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand today. Seems a fitting way to say a genuine thankyou to everyone for the total views, likes, comments, suggestions, encouragement and 10 million views over on this account. And to the car owners of course, thanks for exhibiting your stunning machines for free, adding a touch of drama to city streets everywhere #soloparking #carsofinsta #toyota #corolla #dogtown #sumner #otauatahi #godzone #nzhouse #carsinfrontofhouses #autoportrait #carspotting #nzcarspotting #carphotography #carphotographer #stephentrinderphotography #thecarsofchristchurchnz #ke70 #stationwagon #carprofile #dphotonz #nzcars #instacars #asundaycarpic
This one had some pretty deep curb scratches. I used filler so I wouldn't sand off too much material and lose the contours of the spokes. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
This magnificent tree is along a nature trail in Corolla, NC that leads out to Currituck Sound. Taken at ground view in the early morning light with a IR modified D800 (830nm)
