Another peak I climbed this summer. The Italian name Cornetto di Confine underlines it is a peak on the border between Austria and South Tyrol in Italy. It offers magnificent views from the summit, also towards the Sextner Dolomites. You can even see the two of the three Tre Cime di Lavaredo peaks.

My perfect breakfast: cappuccino, cornetto, cookies.

The blackberry is an edible fruit produced by many species in the genus Rubus in the family Rosaceae.

Very thorny!

Blackberry fruits are red before they are ripe, leading to an old expression that "blackberries are red when they're green".

The seeds contain oil rich in omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid) fats as well as protein, dietary fibre, carotenoids, ellagitannins, and ellagic acid.

Folklore in the United Kingdom tells that blackberries should not be picked after Old Michaelmas Day (11 October) as the devil (or a Púca) has made them unfit to eat by stepping, spitting or fouling on them.

There is some value in this legend as autumn's wetter and cooler weather often allows the fruit to become infected by various molds such as Botryotinia which give the fruit an unpleasant look and may be toxic.

Have a lovely day and as always, THANK you for your time, M, (*_*)

On the summit of Cornetto, one finds a full 360 degree coverage of mountains which can be seen. Here is the NE part of their names plates.

...give it to me, delicious ice cream of Italy...😂

You need to see it large...

A bijou driftwood edifice built from bits of the proprietors Grandfathers boat at Calgary Bay on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. On a less tasty note, during the early 1800’s, the hamlet was final departure point for entire family generations forcibly displaced to make way for profitable sheep.

It just needed another image to show the sense of humour of this building's design...

On a cold January morning I don't think there was any appetite for 'O Sole Mio'.

“Rome is the city of echoes, the city of illusions, and the city of yearning.” Giotto di Bondone.

If you have ever visited Rome and even more so if you have lived in the Eternal City, you probably won't be able to stop yearning for it. If you have walked through its charming streets, sat in its squares to watch people go by, entered more museums and churches than in any other city, appreciated its fountains and its art, if you have vibrated with its monuments, eaten its traditional cuisine in a trattoria, tasted a delicious Italian ice cream, started a day with a cappuccino and a cornetto with nutella, wandered aimlessly through Trastevere, crossed the bridges over the Tiber, admired the views from its hills, if you have merged with its incredible history and the city has written part of yours, if in Rome you have laughed, cried, hugged and kissed, and if you have lived each day as if it were the last in it...

For these and many other reasons, how to control the desire to return to Rome?

Perhaps it is enough to never lose the illusion of visiting it again in the future.

-------------------------------------------------

"Two cornetto ice cream"

Greetings to all of my friends on flickr. We enjoy sun, wine and sea and take photos every day. See you in mid-June, Kurt.

About the title "Two Cornettos Ice Cream" - The little girl on the balcony really wanted two Cornetti from me :-)

"Zwei Cornetto Eis"
