The event paid tribute to French poet Alfred Jarry, the founder of ‘Pataphysics, who inspired the Dada and Surrealist movements. Many of us read quotes from Jarry and his legendary character, the grotesque Père Ubu. On our makeshift stage, Dr. Fabio (a.k.a Fabrice Florin) and the Queen of the Desert (a.k.a. Priscilla Wheeler) re-enacted Ubu's mad quest for power, comparing it to Donald Trump’s own descent into darkness -- in both French and English. Thanks to all of you who booed, chanted and cheered along with us!
Many of our artist friends from Burning Man and Grateful Dead movements joined our celebration — including luminaries like artist David Best, musician David Gans and many more creative minds. Tip of the hat to our pals to Dr. Rindbrain (a.k.a. Howard Rheingold) for punctuating our performances with his magical drum, Dr. Tout d'Suite (a.k.a. Janey Fritsche) and Dr. Skidz (a.k.a. Marshall Smith) for contributing their fine paintings, to Dr. Helvetica (a.k.a. Estimado señor / señora,
Le escribo para informarle que como un individuo de conciencia y defensor de los animales, es muy decepcionante que estos hechos se lleven a cabo en Canadá, un país que ha legalizado el brutal asesinato de miles de focas cada año. Siento que mi espíritu ha sido traicionado, incluyendo los juegos que ademas son un símbolo universal de paz.
Defensores Internacionales de los animales que controlan la caza de focas en Canadá cada año, y también los veterinarios independientes que han trabajado sobre este tema, han informado de que miles de focas bebés mueren en agonía. Si bien todavía consciente, luchando, sangrado y tratando de escapar o salvar a los miembros más jóvenes del grupo, la mayoría de ellos son desollados cuando aún están vivos y mueren en un dolor insoportable.
Además, el número de animales sacrificados todos los años ha crecido dramáticamente y el mal estado del hielo está matando a los animales más y más cada año. Muchos animales más jóvenes se ahogan al tratar de escapar de la carnicería. La mayoría de las víctimas un (98%) no son mayores de 3 meses de edad.
Debido a estos hechos, condeno a Canadá y esperamos que en el futuro, las voces cada vez mayor de defensores de los animales como yo serán escuchadas y tomadas en consideración.
Como medida personal contra esta decisión que, en mi opinión, traiciona el espíritu del mundo y la ética humana básica, estoy prometiendo no comprar productos de Canada, y voy a animar a otros a hacer lo mismo.
Estoy seguro de que este mensaje será bien recibido por considerar que la opinión pública es uno de los derechos que tenemos en la humanidad.
Los abajo firmantes solicitamos a canada que suprima el comercio de productos de foca en todo el mundo con excepcion de los inuit que lo necesiten exclusivamente para su alimentacion y que para ello y antes de acabar este año 2010 se adopten las medidas legales necesarias para prohibir la importación, exportación y comercio de productos de foca en todo el mundo.
Solicitamos una legislación firme al respecto que elimine todo tipo de comercio de los productos derivados de la caza comercial de estos mamiferos marinos en todo el mundo, una actividad que es inherente humana.

I am writing to inform you that as an individual conscience and animal advocate, is very disappointing that these events are conducted in Canada, a country that has legalized the brutal murder of thousands of seals each year. I feel that my spirit has been betrayed, including games that are also are a universal symbol of peace.
Animal Defenders International who control the seal hunt in Canada each year, and independent veterinarians who have worked on this issue have reported that thousands of baby seals die in agony. While still conscious, fighting, bleeding and trying to escape or save the younger members of the group, most of them are skinned while still alive and die in excruciating pain.
Moreover, the number of animals slaughtered each year has grown dramatically and the poor state of the ice is killing more and more animals each year. Many younger animals drowned trying to escape the carnage. Most of the victims one (98%) are not older than 3 months old.
Because of these facts, I condemn in Canada and hopefully in the future, the voices growing animal advocates like myself will be heard and taken into consideration.
As a staff against this decision which, in my view, betrays the spirit of the world and basic human ethics, I am vowing not to buy products from Canada, and I encourage others to do the same.
I am sure that this message will resonate with the view that the public is one of the rights we have in humanity.
We the undersigned call on Canada to eliminate trade in seal products worldwide with the exception of the Inuit who need it only for feeding and for that purpose and by the end of this year 2010 will take the necessary legal measures to prohibit import, export and trade in seal products worldwide.
We call for a law firm about to remove all types of trade in products derived from the commercial hunting of marine mammals worldwide, an activity that is inherently human.

Kudos to our friend Dr. Really (a.k.a Freddy Hahne), for masterfully organizing this surreal happening, with the help of Pataphysical Studios, our art collective! It was such a wonderful way to play and reconnect with each other in this dreamlike setting. :)
The event paid tribute to French poet Alfred Jarry, the founder of ‘Pataphysics, who inspired the Dada and Surrealist movements. Many of us read quotes from Jarry and his legendary character, the grotesque Père Ubu. On our makeshift stage, Dr. Fabio (a.k.a Fabrice Florin) and the Queen of the Desert (a.k.a. Priscilla Wheeler) re-enacted Ubu's mad quest for power, comparing it to Donald Trump’s own descent into darkness -- in both French and English. Thanks to all of you who booed, chanted and cheered along with us!
Many of our artist friends from Burning Man and Grateful Dead movements joined our celebration — including luminaries like artist David Best, musician David Gans and many more creative minds. Tip of the hat to our pals to Dr. Rindbrain (a.k.a. Howard Rheingold) for punctuating our performances with his magical drum, Dr. Tout d'Suite (a.k.a. Janey Fritsche) and Dr. Skidz (a.k.a. Marshall Smith) for contributing their fine paintings, to Dr. Helvetica (a.k.a. Kathy Lassen-Hahne), Dr. JudyJudy (Judy Rheingold) and Tory Farms for serving such delicious treats, to Dr. Figurine for bringing her paper bag masks — and to everyone who helped make this community event such a success!
Our experimental event demonstrated how the Golden Gate's military fortifications can be turned into incredible art and theatrical spaces! They're already filled with fantastic graffiti art, and can be quickly repurposed with original paintings, performance art and interactive exhibits to create an experience that’s truly out of this world. We may host more events like these in these exceptional settings.

Kudos to our friend Dr. Really (a.k.a Freddy Hahne), for masterfully organizing this surreal happening, with the help of Pataphysical Studios, our art collective! It was such a wonderful way to play and reconnect with each other in this dreamlike setting. :)
The event paid tribute to French poet Alfred Jarry, the founder of ‘Pataphysics, who inspired the Dada and Surrealist movements. Many of us read quotes from Jarry and his legendary character, the grotesque Père Ubu. On our makeshift stage, Dr. Fabio (a.k.a Fabrice Florin) and the Queen of the Desert (a.k.a. Priscilla Wheeler) re-enacted Ubu's mad quest for power, comparing it to Donald Trump’s own descent into darkness -- in both French and English. Thanks to all of you who booed, chanted and cheered along with us!
Many of our artist friends from Burning Man and Grateful Dead movements joined our celebration — including luminaries like artist David Best, musician David Gans and many more creative minds. Tip of the hat to our pals to Dr. Rindbrain (a.k.a. Howard Rheingold) for punctuating our performances with his magical drum, Dr. Tout d'Suite (a.k.a. Janey Fritsche) and Dr. Skidz (a.k.a. Marshall Smith) for contributing their fine paintings, to Dr. Helvetica (a.k.a. Our experimental event demonstrated how the Golden Gate's military fortifications can be turned into incredible art and theatrical spaces! They're already filled with fantastic graffiti art, and can be quickly repurposed with original paintings, performance art and interactive exhibits to create an experience that’s truly out of this world. We may host more events like these in these exceptional settings.

The event paid tribute to French poet Alfred Jarry, the founder of ‘Pataphysics, who inspired the Dada and Surrealist movements. Many of us read quotes from Jarry and his legendary character, the grotesque Père Ubu. On our makeshift stage, Dr. Fabio (a.k.a Fabrice Florin) and the Queen of the Desert (a.k.a. Priscilla Wheeler) re-enacted Ubu's mad quest for power, comparing it to Donald Trump’s own descent into darkness -- in both French and English. Thanks to all of you who booed, chanted and cheered along with us!
Many of our artist friends from Burning Man and Grateful Dead movements joined our celebration — including luminaries like artist David Best, musician David Gans and many more creative minds. Tip of the hat to our pals to Dr. Rindbrain (a.k.a. Howard Rheingold) for punctuating our performances with his magical drum, Dr. Tout d'Suite (a.k.a. Janey Fritsche) and Dr. Skidz (a.k.a. Marshall Smith) for contributing their fine paintings, to Dr. Helvetica (a.k.a. Kathy Lassen-Hahne), Dr. JudyJudy (Judy Rheingold) and Tory Farms for serving such delicious treats, to Dr. Figurine for bringing her paper bag masks — and to everyone who helped make this community event such a success!
Our experimental event demonstrated how the Golden Gate's military fortifications can be turned into incredible art and theatrical spaces! They're already filled with fantastic graffiti art, and can be quickly repurposed with original paintings, performance art and interactive exhibits to create an experience that’s truly out of this world. We may host more events like these in these exceptional settings.
