When the charter boats come back to landing, it's great to set up between two separate fish-cleaning stations.

Perfect for catching these hungry Pelicans in flight & watching them fight over the spoils.

A little Fall color in the background doesn't hurt either.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ya'll have a wonderful Tuesday.

Although I haven't had the desire to be out with the camera lately, I surely miss your company, your vision and let's face it - that little bit of sanity in a world gone seemingly mad ..... it's time to come 'home again'.

Hope everyone is doing fine and looking forward to catching up! Thank you for being here ..

Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.

It's hot outside! Hot in the shade, and even hot in the house. But some things never change - leave it to the kids to find a way to cool off!

The crystal clear waters of Aspropotamos (Greek for “White River,” toponym of the river Acheloos) invite the traveler or tourist to enjoy their coolness throughout July and August.

The waters are quite Cold, as they gush from the nearby springs of Acheloos, so one feels the adrenaline levels spiking at the moment one dives. The cold temperature of the invigorating, revitalizing waters in combination with the natural coolness at the altitude of ~ 2,789 ft (850 m) makes the Alekos beach a very popular destination, especially for the brave youngsters. Joy is in the air along with summer vibes.

Gelbfuß-Pfeifgans

The English term is a bit misleading. The biologists agree: it is a goose. The German term is just as irritating. They didn't have yellow feet and they didn't whistle either...🤔

But whatever, the most beautiful type of geese I've seen so far...

The vibrant river, surrounded by lush greenery, serves as the perfect backdrop for this refreshing escape into nature. My 800th Flickr photo!

I planned to get up to go down to the lakefront before work. It was going to be hit or miss due to the heavy clouds the night before. After all, I had to go, this is the first time that the lake has been completely thawed out for photos this year.

On my way down to the lake from home - a 30 minute drive @ 5:30am, all I saw were clouds. Heavy clouds. I anticipated getting nothing that I wanted for a sunrise. After about 30 minutes of sitting around, just as the sun was coming up, the clouds started to clear a bit. It worked out perfectly! I was hoping for a partly cloudy morning, and got it.

I shot around for about 30 minutes, til about 7:20am, then it was off to work. I got to work about 40 minutes later than usual, but it was worth it! :) Good thing my boss likes my work.

Now I need to determine how large I'm going to want this on my wall. What do you think? I was thinking 12x18 matted in a 16x20 frame.

Down the street a ways there's a lovely area of wetlands that has recently been developed. It is turning into a wonderful place for birds and animals and not so many people! So, it's nice!
