This guy passed out drunk and was leaning on a lamp post until he changed position and smacked on to the asphalt. There were two cops on bikes and he was awakened from his nap. Only in LA, i say.
I snapped this one on my way to lunch and on my way back someone stole his shoes and he was still asleep.
This lady stood motionless for minutes as if she's conserving her energy but actually, she's just waiting for her bus.
Just about 20 years ago I was playing ukulele with my daughter, Cathy who just around the same time began singing and playing with Amy Nelson - Folk Uke. We were on a family vacation/reunion in Vero Beach, FL.
We were doing a gig at The College of St. Scholastica nearby. I shot this looking out of my hotel room as I awoke that morning.

From the last time spent the entire spring and summer on my island. (working) Now. Trapped.
This I took with the 1st-gen digital camera I walked around with in my pocket at lunch time near Manhattan's Flower Market.
I've stayed at The Seven Gables Inn over the years when we were traveling through the Saint Louis area of Missouri. I took this photo just over 20 years ago, removing the high-rise buildings surrounding it in some ancient version of PS. It was more of a science project rather than an attempt at art. During the end of October 2014 I returned to the inn after an almost 10 year period and I brought them a large Giclée (print) as a gift. I always loved the place and I was happy to return their kindness from over the decades.
At the American Theater stage at EPCOT June 2, 2001. This was a funny time. Note their "Peace & Love" artwork. When we retuned the following year Peace was gone. They said it was too controversial. The year after that, the Love was gone too. Eventually they just didn't have us back.

Allerdings liefert inzwischen mein Handy qualitativ deutlich bessere Aufnahmen.
recorded with the Nikon Coolpix 990 from the year 2000 - at that time my fifth digital camera - still works. This camera was then (almost) a professional camera with great equipment and corresponding price (about 2500 DM) nowadays on ebay for about 30 € to buy. However, in the meantime my mobile phone delivers qualitatively clearly better pictures.
