This was definitely one of the coolest looking moths that I've ever found. It was found and photographed in my Maryland yard on 10/24/22.

Bombay Beach has to be one of the coolest and weirdest towns in all of California. Located along the Salton Sea in Imperial County, it is a mecca for artists and their outdoor art installations.
Head down to the beach and you’ll see a swingset out in the water. This is “The Water Ain't That Bad, It's Just Salty," by Chris “Ssippi” Wessman and Damon James Duke. I shot this at around sunset and while the light was great, it was devoid of any clouds. As a result, I composited in the clouds adding depth and texture to the landscape. I don’t take photographs…I make them!

At a second mountain stream I saw a cow standing in the water. I stopped, took a few photos and talked to her. To my surprise she walked towards me and climbed out of the water. She was the coolest cow in every sense of the word.
After some waiting, CSX J783 finally pulled out of Lima with the expected power, but some unexpected military tanks on the front. Military trains are hands down the coolest ones out there, so a pair of SD40s and military loads was a pretty awesome catch.
