Immediately after the Ottoman Turks conquered Constantinople in 1453, the Hagia Sophia was converted into the Ayasofya Mosque. At that time, the church was very dilapidated. The sultan Mehmed II ordered the immediate cleanup of the church and its conversion to a mosque. The next sultan Bayezid II built a new minaret, replacing the one built by his father.

During the reign of Selim II (1566–1577), the building started showing signs of fatigue and was extensively strengthened with the addition of structural supports to its exterior by the great Ottoman architect Sinan. In addition to strengthening the historic Byzantine structure, Sinan built the two additional large minarets at the western end of the building.

Unit conversion length The basic metric units are meter (for length), gram (for mass or weight), and liter (for volume).One unit can be converted into another one. For example, one milliliter equals one cubic centimeter and one gram is the weight of one cc of water.To convert various prefixes and thus variously-sized units, we move up and down this list of prefixes, moving the decimal point as we go. I pulled the Hetre off the front wheel (if I left it there, I'd have to get one for the rear wheel too, and that way lies madness) and replaced it with the other Confrerie.

It's easier for me to find fenders in my junkpile for 32mm tires than 42mm ones anyways (I've got a pair of faux-hammered 700c VO fenders that I can lovelycycle down to 650b, and they're just a little narrow for properly covering a Hetre.)
