My first pair of converses. I was always a Sketchers type of person so I never knew what these would be like till now. I liked how I made this picture a black and white as well and the lighting on this one. Day 152 of the project.

This isn't for my 365. I was tagged, and wanted to do it before I forgot. So I found one of my favorite pictures of me, since it just desrcibes me so well (Girly enough to love dresses, particularly prom dresses, but boyish enough to wear my Chucks.)

10 Things.
1. My favorite shoe in the entire world is Converse Chuck Taylors. High tops specificially. My dream is to own a pair in every color. I'd settle for some being colored laces though, to go with all of my back pairs. Right now I've got black, purple, and green. Plus my vintage gray ones with the Chuck symbol on them.
2. I'm not sure a day goes by without me watching Law and Order: SVU.
3. I don't remember how to fall asleep by myself without a movie or something playing in the background.
4. There are a few things that I "girl out" over. Dresses/shopping is one. Others include shoes, jewelry, my hair, and cute and fluffy animals.
5. I want an English Bulldog so badly. I would name him something British or formal sounding, but I'm not entirely sure what yet. Humphrey, Leonard, etc.
6. My first year of college (both in general and as a theatre major) is almost done. This scares the living poo out of me.
7. I've been toying with the idea of opening my own theatre when I leave college. But really, I haven't decided what I want to do once I graduate. Act, direct, teach etc. Just something in theatre.
8. Fruit punch and I are in love. It is likely to be served at my wedding.
9. I never stay single for very long. I just don't like it.
10. My family and friends mean the world to me. I'd be nothing without thier love and support, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Since it was my Birthday today, I decided to go shopping in NYC and buy myself a special gift. That didn't happen because I will go ahead and get a bigger gift at the end of the month. So, I just had someone else get me some gifts. lol While shopping in the Soho area, I decide to go to the new Converse Store in lower Manhattan near the village area in Soho. I've been meaning to go to this store for awhile to take some shots. Specifically the wall with all the Chuck Taylor's on it. It's a massive wall with White, Red, and Blue Chucks. The store also has an iD area in the back where you can purchase a Chuck and design it with some graphics seemed pretty kool. We'll see though, because I will make one and see what the options are like. It's nothing like Nike iD though. More of adding graphics to the shoe. I'll have more images soon for a quick post on my blog.

Today was a little warm and really, really humid. So I wore my red and white skater dress from Society+ and my red leather Converse high tops (I also wore a white cardigan because I have spatial awareness and nobody wants to see what my upper arms really look like).
This is the one outfit I get near-constant compliments on that isn't my ren faire garb or my steampunk outfit(s). And, it has pockets! Deep, usable, GOOD pockets! I also have two skirts from Society+ and a slightly shorter black skater dress. And they ALL HAVE POCKETS!

I decided that the weather was nice enough to sit outside and wait for the birds. I was hoping for the red-tail hawks, but I was okay with the sparrows and chickadees. I don't know why- if it was too windy or if it was the clouds that came in, but there were no birds anywhere. Not even sparrows in the bird feeders. I could hear a tweet now and then, but nobody came around. So, here's my 365 for today, a rare moment when I'm not wearing hiking boots. (these Converse are also leather, however).
I couldn't come up with anything for the theme in "We're Here!", so I just did an outfit of the day shot. Black faux suede skater dress from Society+ and my red leather Chuck Taylors.
The new inserts the doctor gave me for my feet make even my Converse high-tops comfortable.
