It's been a while since I've taken the Graflex SLR out. Reasonably happy with the results from this 91 year old camera!

Kensington Market, Toronto.

I loved the way these two ladies looked having a conversation in front of the gated window. When I asked if I could photograph them, of course they posed and smiled for the camera--but that wasn't the look I had in mind. So I told them to continue with what they were doing and now that I had their permission (because I prefer to ask) I'd come back for a photo--and this is one of the photos I got.

When my father passed away, this photograph, taken long before his death, acquired a special meaning for me. 1976

Pellestrina, Italy

She was loud. Even I could hear her from a few miles at least. This is you who are facing deadly pandemic, world war, economic depression. This is you who are hiding under a burgeoning curve where time smells stale. Time is fine for us we don’t have to maintain social distancing.

I tried to say her something but she flew. Question is what should we write? Can we write our guilt which caused losing so many lives? Or shall we write to reach hope where it always hides in the darkest cloud? – Perhaps next time she.....!!

Walking around and lunch to take pictures also means that I invariably end up interrupting other people's lunches. Luckily, Andrew (front) did not seem to mind, As I was about to shoot, John (in the cab) looked up, so I merely requested that, if he could look at me, that would be great.

Neither of them seemed to have a problem with my "No Smile" request.

A miserable old day. - stryker66

It's June but still a lot gloomy weather up here in the Northeast. This photo reminds me of the colors in 70's or 80's movies.

I wonder what they're talking about...

Original artwork - Acrylic on paper. A2 size

This image reminds me of my childhood and the constant curiosity I had as to what the grown ups were talking about... peeking through cracked doors and listening in on things I often couldn't comprehend.

People talking in Dunedin's famous railway station. Possibly most photographed building in NZ.

Thanks for visiting.
