I found this spider in my garden doing a great job of controlling the gnats. I've had a particularly great year in my garden as indicated by numerous insects and arachnid species keeping pests at bay.
I forced myself to put down the long tele I have been using (the Tamron 70-300) and use my Sony 28-70 OSS lens instead. I used manual focus mode here as I wanted the web and spider in focus, not the glorious flower behind it.

- It is clearly showing the control of backround as only the two insects are being focused.
Why is this a good picture
-First of all, it is very hard to find and take a picture of small creatures especially when they are hidden in bushes and camouflage themselves. The need to be careful and focused is a main factor which plays a role to capture a good image at the correct time. This picture also gives a good texture of the Praying mantis's lower body and the Moth's body. Furthermore, the picture also tells us that sorrow must not be felt when watching the true colours of nature come out in the beautiful interaction between the prey and its predator.
How can this be improved
-This can be improved by changing the backround of the picture to a darker colour to specify and focus on the main subject as the background of this picture has a similar colour to the insects.
