Once new waterproofing material is applied to the US 2 bridge decks that are being rehabilitated, a new roadway can be paved on top. The process requires absolutely dry conditions to make sure the waterproofing material doesn't "steam up" and create bubbles during the application of hot mix asphalt. The project is rehabbing 19 bridges on a 23-mile stretch of US 2 between Gold Bar and Skykomish. It is scheduled to wrap up in late 2020. -ff

April 21, 2008. Keene State College. Student teams display their projects designed to address the challenges of sustainability in both the developed and developing world. They are competing for the P3 Award at the 4th Annual National Sustainable Design Expo held on the National Mall in Washington DC. The P3 Award is the pinnacle for P3: People, Prosperity and the Planet Student Design Competition for Sustainability.
