Hotel Inffinit Vigo

For my Contract 1 product shots I choose to capture the essence of Buffalo Wild Wings sauces Garlic Parm and Southwest Ranch for PETCO AGENCY STUDIOS. I took 75 photos in total which the task waws to distill the vibrancy as well as appeal of these Buffalo Wild Wings sauce products into three different categories: Natural Light, Flash Light and Constant Light. Within each group I choose three photographs that best represented the strengths of the following lighting environments. I shot all the photos in manual mode with a consistent white background for my constant plus flash lighting for my natural light I switched up the background to a blue background. I also went with a wooden table to complement the sauces appearance.

For my Natural Light photos, the top three photos reflect the subtlety of the ambient light. The natural light was a bit difficult to get the sauces without a glare, but the top three shots came out the best as well as highlight the sauces color gradients. With me experimenting with depth of field, the backgrounds soft bokeh effect ensured that the products are the center of attention which showcase the products perfectly.

For my Flash Light photos this showed the power of controlled lighting in bringing out the boldness of a product. Which with my flash I had to play around with the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to get the perfect photo. I also played around with depth of field plus white balance which I got a variety of photos some with the right settings came out nice and others had over exposure, not enough exposure and other elements came out different. My top three Flash Light photos capture the glossy sheen and vibrant labeling of the bottles. Playing with the light including shadows added a dimensionality which gave the sauces a high-quality fee that draws the viewers’ attention.

Finally for my Constant Light top three photos I choose them for their consistent clarity and detail. With the constant light it brought out the two sauce products texture where the wooden table provides a natural contrast that makes the product standout. The white background was used in this lighting as well to have a simple background while I played around with the composition of the product, white balance, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed to capture the top 3 shots.

Overall gathering these top nine photos I learned about shadows, reflection and more when it comes to product shots. These nine where chosen for them over all composition, capturing the products as the main focal point, and having each element capture the true essence of the product. Which I feel out of all of my photos these nine show quality, vibrancy, and Buffalo Wild Wings sauce products using distinct lighting.
