Sometimes your heavy duty ultra-lifted off-roader behemoth just won't do. Luckily for Cole and Nelson, they now have the ultra-light conveniently-sized mini Roader. Perfect for on the beach, in narrow back alleys, or down the grocery isle!

When I was looking through Photo Life magazine I happened upon the advertisement for the Sony World Photography Award contest, and decided to check it out. It looks like a great contest with some awesome prizes, so I decided to put together an entry. All of these portraits of Eva from 2014 are submitted as a portrait series. Although I realize that the odds of winning are slim, I really enjoyed putting together this series of portraits that I had done over the past year, and thought I should share them here. I'd like to give a special thanks to my flickr friends and my lovely wife who helped me narrow down my gallery to come up with this final selection.
All of these images are united in a theme, black & white portraits. I wanted to show many different sides of Eva's characters so some of them are not your typical portrait-style pictures, but I think they come together nicely as a little series.
These have all been on flickr over the past year, but they are also linked as a blog post on my web site www.thephotonwhisperer.com

'Wind farming or co-existence': proofing swatch printed on Eco-canvas by Spoonflower. Line art. © Su Schaefer 2014
The title 'Wind farming or co-existence' refers to actual (or potential) co-existence between the traditional way of farming and the newer, industrial wind farming. This was my entry in Spoonflower's Farming Contest.
See 'Wind farming or co-existence' fabric and 'Wind farming or co-existence' wallpaper.
Also in decals and gift wrap.
Color check: The thread in the picture is Gutermann polyester col. 720 (a dark apple green).

The Light Is All Photography | my best photos | most "interesting" | most faved
We visited the Puyallup Fair on September 20, and while David and Daniel and Kelli rode the ferris wheel, I took pictures. I got a lot of cool pictures of the lights going around, experimenting with various lengths of exposure. Afterward, noticed the almost-full moon in the sky, and the seed of an idea was born. Yes, this is a composite image; but I did take both of the photographs, and stitched them together in Photo Elements. It makes for quite a dramatic image!
This photo is featured on my photo blog, thelightisall.blogspot.com , on November 16, 2010, and was entered in the 8th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest in November 2010 in the Altered Images category. Entry for the April Colored Pencil Magazine challenge. A4 size, in colored pencils and some white gel pen for the little fluffs.
This is the first time I participate in this challenge, I added it as advanced, because even though I've been drawing seriously only for a few months, I've been sketching and painting all my life, on and off, and I am nowhere near beginner, hehe.
Hope you like it and thank you for this opportunity, there is always room for improvement, but I am very pleased with the results. <3
PS: I spent about 12-14 h drawing this, in total.

A Lego Ideas contest entry for "We Love Sports"
I am heavily into biking and since the pandemic also running so i actually love sports^^
The build is interchangeable, features many sporty minifigs and three big figures, a golden orb to make an actual trophy and a little winners podium for the minifigs
Someone once said that everyone is really a trainhead. I guess that person's right, since the first thing I thought to build when the NPU contest piece was announced, was a train.
Dioramas/landscape are something new to me, and I like it. I'm also rather satisfied that my foray into that area wasn't a complete failure. Of course, the photography once again messed a number of things up and it looks a lot better IRL... Buuut... I'll have to just deal with that until I can obtain some proper floodlights or something.
Anyway, this was a fun build, and all thanks to Slushey and his NPU contest. Fingers crossed that I make it to round 2 with this. :)

Backstory may go here later, when I've had something to eat.

Built for the Hardsuit All-Stars Contest.
The Radio Flyer was originally designed for commercial use and sale, and is very popular with thrill-seekers. Due to it's high performance and reliability, it is also very propular with mercenaries and even some militias. When in flight mode, the feet fold in and the legs become the main thrusters, and the hands also fold in and become smaller steering thrusters.
I've tried several times in the past to built a robot or mech, but they always ended up as fails. This is the first time I have been able to succesfully build one, and I'm very happy with the result.
