STERILGARDA BRANDING CONTEST
Create the umbrella brand for Sterilgarda's new line of natural beverages.
Prize pot €6.000
With over 40 years of history, Sterilgarda Alimenti (www.sterilgarda.it) is an Italian leading company in the production of UHT milk and cream.
In the past years, the company expands its range of products, successfully entering the field of juices and fruit drinks and beverages.
Sterilgarda has now developed a new line of natural beverages, outcome of years of research on the best existing raw material in the world and composed by
- Pure juices (made of fresh juice, squeezed and immediately frozen without manipulation)
- Juices with no sugar added (only natural fruit sugars will be used)
- Functional Teas (they provide specific health benefits that go beyond general nutrition: for example antioxidant or detox benefits)
Key feature of the new line is to be a “wellness provider”. Wellness as a healthy life, a healthy way of living that starts from food intake.
The new product line will also be presented in a special environmentally friendly and eco-sustainable packaging (with FSC – Forest Stewardship Council certification), as well as recyclable.
WHAT STERILGARDA ASKS YOU TO DO?
Sterilgarda wants you, fresh and creative minds, to develop the new identity for its brand new line of natural beverages.
What you have to create is the umbrella brand, the official identity of its new line:
- Brand name
- Logo
- Logotype
PRIZES AND VISIBILITY
1° Prize: €3.500
2° Prize: €1.000
3° Prize: €500
If deemed appropriate by Sterilgarda, the brand proposal that will win the first prize could also become the official umbrella brand for the new product line.
Other five interesting proposals will be chosen by Shicon Team and awarded with a Shicon Pick mention + €200 cash.

Contested Destination features photography, drawings, and video by six artists – Gina Osterloh, Betsy Lin Seder, Jeannie Simms, Gabie Strong, Kristine Thompson, and Carrie Yury. All of the artists are former students of artist Connie Samaras, a full professor at University of California, Irvine, whose exhibition Tales of Tomorrow is currently on display in Armory’s Caldwell Gallery. Contested Destination has been organized by Armory chief curator Irene Tsatsos with Connie Samaras.
Contested Destination is an evocative look at ideas of precedents and homage, an alternatively organized matrix of time, and what Donna Haraway calls “reinscribed history,” all through the lens of artworks that evoke performance and performativity. The show includes:
photographs by Gina Osterloh from All of Our Edges, a series that depicts an obscured figure in a monochromatic environment and reflects the tension between blending into and remaining distinct from an environment or an external presence;
a series of photographs entitled Fool’s Gold (from the Elephant series) by Betsy Lin Seder, which lavishly represent that glittering mineral while evoking feelings of ambiguity, aspiration, and loss;
I’ll Keep Merapi’s Lava Away from the People, a video by Jeannie Simms that features women teaching or mimicking the dance-like movements of one another; the work is from her Readymaids series, which consists of videos made collaboratively with women inside a maid-training agency in Java, Indonesia;
video by Gabie Strong, entitled Memories of the Space Age, which shows a rocket being launched in slow motion; the title of the work distorts a sense of time by implying nostalgia for something that arguably has not happened yet, and the imagery literally slows down something as its accelerating;
a photograph of Kristine Thompson integrating – or ingratiating – herself into a photograph of artist Ana Mendieta as part of a series of works in which she responds to the work of deceased artists who addressed issues of self-portraiture, sentiment, and the relationship of their bodies to specific sites;
drawings by Carrie Yury from a series entitled (My) Performance Anxiety, in which the artist addresses her conflicted relationship to performance art through a series of drawings of famous feminist performance art works, revised by having placed animal masks on their faces.

A ballot for Franken being contested by a Coleman volunteer. Due to some sort of sick distain for the media, when I showed up with my camera, election judges started hiding the parts of contested ballots that were being contested.

The HUNKY JESUS CONTEST 2015 with THE SISTERS OF PERPETUAL INDULGENCE !
A MUSCLE-BOUND, diaper clad, HUNKY JESUS carrying his toy Easter bunnies, two baby bottles filled with milk, and sucking on a pacifier waddled up on stage much to the delight of Sister ROMA and the crowd. Everyone went in to a wild uproar when he squirted his bottle of milk all over his golden tan, rippled muscled beautiful body a la Flashdance. Milk really do a body good...BABY JESUS won the title of 2015 HUNKY JESUS CONTEST!
The sexy lanky ROLLER DISCO JESUS stunned the crowed with his roller skating antics on stage, ok it was his tight muscled body in a white disco jumpsuit which was ripped open in just the right places !
The EXORCIST JESUS also got the audience howling with his Dr. Frankenfurter black lace , neglige outfit and 6-inch black platform boots.
Afterwards, HUNKY, MUSCLE-BOUND BABY JESUS was pulled aside by tons of people for a photo-op !
