Negotiating the reverse curves at Pontrilas (between Hereford and Abergavenny) on 28 September 2013 is Freightliner’s 66538 working 4V64, the 11.08 Crewe Basford Hall to Wentloog container train. Note the signal-box and semaphore signals controlling movements at this delightful location.

The large majority of containers are 40-footers, with some up to 53 ft, a few 20-footers, and a few extra-high ones (9'6" instead of 8' 6").
Most today are made in China, with some 18,000,000 in existence, and an estimated 2,000-10,000 being lost overboard every year. The biggest ships today can carry about 14,000 20 ft containers at a time.
The largest we usually use on construction sites are 20 ft, and sometimes as small as 10 ft.
My freshly built Tamiya CC-01 Bronco that my wife nicknamed "Babe" because of the color I mixed to spray it. I waterproofed everything, drilled and wired a Proline scale light bar, added a RC4WD Bulldog winch with wireless controller, the shoes and socks are RC4WD steel internal beadlocks wrapped in RC4WD Dirt Grabbers. I also made a spare tire cover which doubles as a waterproof container for anything I need to carry or scale items.

You'll see beautiful sunsets at Sea, busy dancing Containers hanging from the giant Gantry Cranes in the Ports, a huge number of differen animals in the Mediterranean Sea, the word biggest marine engine and much more.
The little walk from the long long Journey from Hamburg to the Far East (China, eastern Asia) was about twelve days, mostly accompanied by nice weather.
I hope, you'll enjoy the ride on bord of the ca. 396m long and 54m wide blue vessel, sailing nearly constant with 20 knots to the mediterranean Island.
this weekend we finally planted some vegetables in containers. (our soil is not fit to grow veggies. well, vegetables would grow in it, but we wouldn't want to consume them.) so we've got tomatoes (heirlooms and grape), pickling cukes, hot peppers, and some herbs.
those two pots on the steps are hanging baskets for the front of the house. i won't hang them until i see if the annuals i bought and then didn't plant for about a month decide to forgive me and come back to life.
and under the table is that sneaky jackalope again.

so...i finally had a look at the new mall in the christchurch cbd. pretty underwhelming really. don't think i'll be heading back in a hurry. it's kinda like josh threw a few lego blocks together and called it retail. every "shop" was packed because they're so small; there were long queues out each of the cafe doors; while "green" might be a goal, non-smoking would go a long way to achieving that; and it's still just a bunch of shops. i didn't like the inner city before and these boxes don't make it any more attractive
