I love this - ARMANI & BEN SHERMAN in a Container. Workmen mingling with happy shoppers.
my first time back ot Christchurch since the quakes... I lived here for over 10 years so it was emotional for sure!
A few thoughts.............
Today was my first visit to Chch since the quakes.., the sun shone, the water glistened, ducks swam on the Avon and people walked their dogs at Sumner.....
Ballantynes has reopened and the containers painted up as stores are awesome..great colour, flower planting, wheel barrows, construction men and people everywhere in the city... Wonderful to see.
Looking beyond the cliff faces are ragged or rugged reminders of what happened to this once tranquil city. Small luxury homes perched precariously atop cliffs with their verandahs already down at the bottom!! Stark reminders.
Not one church seemed to be unscathed - And there were so many beautiful stone churches! Container walls cheek by jowl line roads, some decorated to soften the reality of what happened here.... Pop up shops and cafes keeping the spirits alive.
God bless Christchurch..

Shipping containers offer safe, affordable housing in Brighton. QED Property recently collaborated with WCEC Architecture and the Brighton Housing Trust to build a new shipping container-based housing development in Brighton, UK, for people at risk of homelessness.
Richardson's Yard opened in December 2013 and is located in central Brighton on former commercial land that would have otherwise remained underused.
The development comprises 36 dwellings in all, that are constructed from a number of standard 12.9 metre (40-ft) shipping containers. Inside, the containers feature sleeping quarters, toilet and kitchen.

Here are all 3 styles of container cars that I have. The 7939 one isn't a well style - that lets it have a 6 wide container on a 6 wide car. The TTX set is restricted to 4 wide containers since the 6 wide cars use bricks to make the sides of the well. On the Maersk, Lego managed to squeeze 6 wide containers into "6 wide" cars, since the sides of the wells are tiles attached to brackets. The car ends up being closer to 7 wide though.
In my dream Barush said: outcome of your life? Not even a full container! I often moved out of me. Storages? Rather attic with no webs.

For quick packing and unpacking store your items on pallet and use a forklift to quickly gain access to your storage container.
I don't know who painted this container, but the reason is quite clear... :)
There is one radio station in Helsinki that's a bit different than the rest of them. The main difference is that they don't have a set playlist of songs. It's name is simply Radio Helsinki. The DJ/host may actually play whatever he/she likes. There is a lot of variation in the shows and it's quite rare that any song would be played several times a day.
I really don't listen to radio much and this station is probably only reason why I think I should listen more.
Now the station is going to be shut down. It has actually created quite a bit af stir. President of our neighbour country Estonia tweeted about it.
I whish it can be saved.
