Long-abandoned strip mall in Monticello, N.Y.
(They went to the Apollo -- you should've seen them go, go, go.)
Mister Curious, teething, crawling, grabbing, eyes wide-open, the world, his for the exploring.
Meet Jude.
My Karen Sue's family gathered for Thanksgiving at our home this year. The first time in a very long while. We usually spend Thanksgiving with my family and Christmas with Karen's. We changed that this year.
Our home was full. Over twenty of us enlivened the place, with the great niece and nephew being the center stage of our time and sources of great joy.
This little fellow is an explorer. I was reminded of just how fast a person could crawl when they put their mind to it.
This frame shows off the excellent eye-seeking autofocus of the Sony A6000 with a Sony lens. I'm just guessing at the framing, not looking through a viewfinder at all, and the Sony found Jude's eyes and locked on, wide open at f1.8. Amazing technology, that enables me to get shots by intuition.
Oh the places he will go!
▲° A representation of my evolution as an artist, man first walked on all fours, then progressively stood upright overtime. As most humans are comfortable in this state of existence, there are those who remain unsatisfied & harness the gift of human reason. In the 20th century man achieved flight. This parallels to my endeavor as a creator. As society turns everything into a commodity, I will forever resent those who collectively agreed that art can be owned by anyone other than the creator. Half primitive urge, half spirituality, art cannot be contained, preserved, or held. It is felt. Kinetic energy that flows through the soul. He who accepts this creates to the highest degree. He who creates for self cannot be constrained consciously. -DeLaSelis
Trying to edit again this morning after a long night at the post office, where we were inundated with mail advertising just how early each store will open on Thanksgiving day. That means you can pull some poor store employee away from his precious family time so that you can get a toaster for 5.99 plus tax. Seems like a deteriorization of our better values.
