Closed in 1940 it was restored and reopened in 1993 as a library. I could imagine the 'naval attache' reporting on WWII Italian ship movements from this balcony!

The British Consulate-General in Chicago marked '100 Days To Go' to the opening of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games with BT, the official communication services partner, on Wednesday, April 18. Consul General Robert Chatterton Dickson hosted representatives from BT and Chicago area companies at his residence for a reception and dinner featuring US Olympic gymnast ('84) Bart Conner.

Continuing a two-year relationship with Chicago youth non-profit UCAN, staff members from the British Consulate-General met with five UCAN interns last week.
